POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for generating new business and developing and maintaining existing clientele as well as on-site management of each banquet event; Responsibilities also includes supervision and work assignment to facilities staff engaged in supporting events at the center. The manager will oversee all events and programs at ICC. This includes planning, coordination, execution and administration. RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible to solicit and book new business with emphasis on the banquet and facilities rentals.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing clients/groups.
  • Write contracts and proposals following solicitation of customers to formally document oral agreements and terms.
  • Maintain communication with clients in order to ensure that signed contracts, deposits, credit applications, and any other pertinent information is received and handled in a timely manner.
  • Manage and monitor bookings to ensure that all specifications are arranged in a timely manner and coordinated appropriately with team members to ensure client satisfaction.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend required training sessions offered by ICC.

Assist participants from sitting to standing/ standing to sitting positions

Assist participants with walking to minimize risk of falling

Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living (e.g. restroom and dressing needs)

Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the child health and safety service area of program. The Health and Safety Specialist actively advocates for the health, education and wellness of families and children enrolled in Early Head Start in coordination with other community resources.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide all services to children and parents within a strengths based model. 
  • Support the strengths and goals of families in a non-judgmental      manner that supports parents as the expert on their child. 
  • Relate to parents, children, Providers, EHS staff and the public in a manner that is helpful, courteous, friendly and respectful. 
  • Ensure that families are connected with a medical home for ongoing      care, which includes medical and dental nutrition services. 
  • Prepare a quarterly written Family Health Services reports for      presentation to the Policy Council and the EHS Manager. 
  • Develop annual Health and Safety Plans in accordance with      Performance Standards; obtain Policy Council input and approval. In this position, may provide direct      services and/or indirect health services to enrolled children. 
  • Maintain individual health records of all children and complete      health tracking reports in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards,      including: Assuring that health and dental screenings are completed within      ninety (90) days of the students' first day of attendance and that all follow-up is completed by the end of the school year. Vision and hearing screenings must be completed within forty-five (45) days of the first day of attendance. 
  • Participates in the agency multi-disciplinary team meeting
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Assistants to ensure      developmental and health screenings are completed within a timely manner
  • Creates action plans addressing health and safety needs of children as identified in the child’s developmental and health screenings
  • Reviews child’s medical and dental treatment plans prior to provision of services
  • Makes random site visits to family child care partner homes on a      quarterly basis to conduct health and safety checks of the home 
  • Establishes that enrolled children are up to date on a schedule of      well childcare including required immunizations. 
  • Work with staff and parents in the planning, implementation, and      evaluation of Health and Safety activities within the established      curriculum that include education related to health, safety, nutrition and dental health. 
  • Work jointly with the EHS program Parent Service Supervisor and      Director to organize the Health Advisory Committee and meet twice a      year. 
  • Assist in the integration of other Early Head Start Service areas with Family Health Services; demonstrate an understanding of how service      areas interrelate to provide comprehensive child and family services. 
  • Work with the Family Service Specialists as needed to determine      resources for health care services in keeping with the individual needs of families. 
  • Work in coordination with local schools and health agencies to      facilitate family health. 
  • Provide consultation and assistance to family Support Services in      linking family to an ongoing health care system and assist the family in      assuming responsibility for health care needs. 
  • Participate in community based health education and preventive      health promotions
  • Work closely with the Early Head Start Home Visitors in serving      pregnant women; including, as needed, joint home visits, providing      prenatal education/materials, health care referral and monitoring      throughout pregnancy.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required

Education and/or Experience: 

  • MS, BS, BA in family or pediatric health or related field or      combination of education and related experience totaling five years;      preference given to experience and/or education with early childhood      population.
  • Must work well with co-workers, parents, children and the public;      work references will be required
  • Demonstrated organizational ability. 
  • Experience working with multi-cultural populations 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to prepare reports and presentations in a professional manner 
  • Basic computer keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, supportive and respectful relationships with children, parents, staff, consultants and the public 
  • Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision 
  • Regular, dependable, on-time attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure consistent, high quality services to children and families

Other Requirements: 

  • Must have access to a dependable car with minimum legally required insurance coverage, and possess a current      California driver license. 
  • Must be able to work overtime hours.
  • First Aid Certification
  • Must pass criminal background check. 
  • Negative Tuberculosis screen results

: Spanish Language Proficiency: Ability to hold an adult-level conversation in Spanish is preferred.
