We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer and Architect
Reliable IT, one of the nation’s fastest-growing managed providers, is seeking the right person for a full-time Senior Systems Administrator. The position is full-time Mon-Fri providing professional services to our clients.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This person will assemble, debug and test custom automated systems from start to finish including the following:
§ Build complex automated with the focus on electrical wiring and pneumatics this includes panel layout and wiring, panel to machine wiring and machine pneumatics.
§ Occasionally build low level automation and fixtures with little to no engineering support.
§ Conceptualize, improvise and modify parts to complete build of machine systems; communicate modifications to Engineering to maintain updated documentation.
§ Lead mechanical troubleshooting of automation systems during debug phase of projects; work closely with controls engineers to prepare and make machines ready for run-off acceptance testing.
§ Work closely with Sales and Engineering during customer acceptance testing.
§ Provide technical phone support to customer maintenance staff as necessary.
§ Advise and recommend manufacturing process and procedure improvements to management as necessary
§ Travel occasionally to customer sites as required for machine installations, modifications, training and/or repair. Travel is regional and less than 10%.
§ Perform electrical wiring or troubleshooting on site at customers facilities to solve problems with machinery.
§ Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
§ Assist in conceptualization of machine and/or tooling design during quotation phase
§ Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting activities.
§ Modify systems upon customer request and update documentation accordingly. \
§ Be able to build and wire electrical control panels as needed.
§ Working knowledge of electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, test lights, etc.
§ Working knowledge of transformers, such as sizing, wiring and troubleshooting.
§ Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard.
§ Maintain all required company documents.
§ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
§ Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
§ Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
§ Background in automation preferred.
§ Able to operate various hand tools as needed.
§ Mechanical assembly aptitude a plus.
§ Able to systematically debug machines mechanically and electrically.
§ Applicants must be a citizen of the United States.
§ 3 - 5 years related to machine building job experience.
§ Must have a valid driver’s license.
§ Must have own hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, measuring tools and etc.
§ Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
§ Must be a strong TEAM player
