The Spot Welder is responsible to work safely to produce quality weldments, ensuring production requirements are achieved while striving to exceed rate expectations, and conduct all 5S activities.
- Determine number of welding points and contact cycles
- May recommend jogs and fixtures are built to hold work in place
- Regulate current and set automatic timing cycles
- High School Diploma/Equivalency Required
- Able to continuously lift, carry and stack parts weighing up to twenty pounds
- Ability to do basic mathematics, set up equipment, run forming equipment and ability to run a spot welder

A well established company in the Grand Blanc area is looking for experienced MIG welders/fabricators to work in their facility. The company manufactures large, industrial air units. Candidate must take a weld test to check experience and quality of weld. Pay range is $16 to $20 to start and pay will depend on how candidate does on the weld test. Candidate will be welding mostly Aluminum as well as some Stainless steel. This is not a production welding position. There is fabrication involved, person must be able to read a tape measure down to the 1/16 and also have some experience reading blueprints. Facility is very nice and clean and there is plenty of opportunity for overtime which is mandatory if work load dictates it. 1st shift hours are Monday thru Friday 6AM to 4:30PM and Saturday is 6AM to 2:15PM. Sundays are typically on a voluntary basis but is paid Double Time. Most of the time the work week consists of 58 hours weekly but currently the work week consists of 60 to 65 hours per week. Candidate should have their own equipment and welding tools. Candidate should have clean background and be able to pass a drug screen.
