The Role

As a Product Designer on the Subscriptions team, you would work with a diverse cross-functional team drive growth of our subscription products. Despite our already huge reach, Quizlet is still in the early stages of its growth in terms of our product and users. Millions of students will use Quizlet for the first time this school year — your job will be to make their upgraded experience as simple, user-friendly and elegant as possible.

You will be involved in every step of design, including research, ideation, mapping user flows, creating mockups and designing high-fidelity UIs across our website and native apps. You’ll bring your voice and ideas to our small, talented design team, helping to shape the future of design at Quizlet.

  • Experience working closely with in-house engineering teams

As a Web Designer, you will have a passion for clean code, professional graphic design, and staying on top of the latest web technologies.


This job entails transitioning websites from an older, outdated code base onto a new Bootstrap 3 framework, working with various clients and our internal teams to ensure our products look visually remarkable and our websites are cleanly coded to the latest web standards.

  • Proficient in Sublime and Adobe Photoshop. Illustrator is a huge plus too.

  • Proven ability to professionally design and hand code a website from start to finish.

        The Graphic and Web Designer (GWD) is responsible for developing impactful visual content in support of marketing programs/campaigns, retail branches and organizational departments. The GWD provides input, direction and execution toward delivery of graphic and web design in support of ongoing marketing projects. The GWD maintains the company’s visual identity and brand standards in both traditional and digital media.


         


         


        Duties and Responsibilities:





    • Utilizes graphic and web design tools to produce visual content and designs as needed by marketing projects and the organization, including but not limited to promotional material, advertisements, brochures, posters, signage, newsletters.


    • Collaborates with the creative team lead to create visuals acutely targeted for targeted audiences.


    • Ensures brand guidelines are followed inside and outside the Marketing Department, and offers guidance to co-workers and vendors regarding brand compliance.


    • Collaborates and coordinates with Marketing Project Coordinator to provide and meet given timelines for design needs for various marketing projects.


    • Supports web design and some degree of web coding as needed for marketing projects and organization needs.



     


    Desired Qualifications:



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Visual Communication, or related field


    • 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic and web design.


    • Knowledge of prevailing design tools and software. Track record of using technology to deliver results

    Our communications solutions client in Cary is looking to add a Brand Web Designer onto their team for a 6-month contract. This Web Designer will be researching and designing user-friendly website designs in a fast-paced environment. Job duties also include the creation of interactive financial documents. Use Flippingbook software to convert PDF documents into custom branded digital documents posted on the web and add links, bookmarks and images to customize.



    Responsibilities of the Branding Web Designer:


    ·        Enhance documents using Flippingbook software.


    ·        Plan and design creative sites by clarifying goals and designing functionality.


    • Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with Relationship Managers.

    ·        Develops site navigation by categorizing content.


    • Design overall customer experiences using layout techniques, style guides, color schemes, user interface graphics and icons to reflect client’s branding.

    ·        Design images, icons, banners for sites using Adobe Photoshop.
