¨        Assists QC personnel as requested by Technical Services Manager to ensure that quality controls are in process and functioning appropriately.


 


Qualifications for Quality Manager


1.     College Degree in Engineering or management, with CQE, CQM preferred


2.     7 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong preference for heavy industrial products background.  


3.     5 years’ experience as a Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, or Quality Engineer with strong planning skills, and the ability to establish key metrics and work to achieve your goals.


4.     5 years’ experience working with ISO standards, documentation, and quality manuals, with proven experience implementing quality programs in manufacturing operations.


5.     Strong process and quality improvement experience with knowledge of various Continuous Improvement approaches. Ability to acquire and analyze data gathered in improvement initiatives. 


6.     Strong knowledge of Quality Audits, with experience developing and implementing quality audit programs.  Strong knowledge of implementing preventative and corrective actions.

Job Description


The central role of the Nurse Care Team Assistant (NCTA) is to support the Registered Nurse by documenting the patient encounter and rechecks, and performing some non-clinical patient care tasks; thus allowing the Registered Nurse to focus more directly on clinical care. A Nurse Care Team Assistant's role is limited to patient care, documentation, and efficiency management for the Registered Nurse. The NCTA works under the supervision of a professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age-specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the facilities compliance plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.


The Nurse Care Team Assistant observes the Registered Nurse during patient encounters and performs documentation on the Registered Nurse’s behalf. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the NCTA enters information into the patient’s electronic or written chart. All documentation is reviewed and/or edited by the Registered Nurse. Documentation is signed with an attestation by the Registered Nurse, attesting that the NCTA's charting accurately reflects all work, treatment, procedures, and medical decision-making performed by them.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of CareThrough’s and ScribeAmerica’s Core Values as outlined by the organization

  • Perform accurate documentation and reporting of all procedures in accordance with department policy

  • Participate in documenting a nursing history and reporting abnormalities to the supervising Registered Nurse

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care as a team member by performing patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse

  • Provide patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture

  • Function appropriately in clinical emergencies

  • Follow CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrate appropriate use of PPE, perform handwashing according to policy, and enforce safety regulations

  • Exhibit a desire to learn and upgrade skills, and perform other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit

  • Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities

  • Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department


Required Education and Pre-requisites


This position requires:



  • Florida Nursing Assistant Certification, OR Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with comparable hospital experience, OR successful completion of the first semester of an ASN or BSN program

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Exemplary work ethic and professionalism

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to adapt to individual site needs

  • Ability to multitask is high-stress environments

  • Strong computer skills – technological savvy

  • A typing speed of 50+ WPM


Training


Upon hiring, the care coordination assistant is expected to successfully complete the following requirements:



  • Classroom training

  • Pathophysiology

  • Physical exam findings

  • PHI/HIPAA/HITECH

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time or part-time position and hours of work and days vary Monday through Sunday depending on the facility contract and Care Coordination Assistant hours needed.


Travel


Travel is expected occasionally for this position between local hospitals and medical facilities, as required by the particular nurse care team program.
