Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in directing and organizing the activities of the Food & Beverage departments, including but not limited to the Kitchen, Premier Club Lounge, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Room Service and Bars, to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.


  • Assist with supervising, guiding, scheduling and training Food and Beverage employees.

  • Ensure entire menu is available and hours of operation are strictly adhered to.

  • Meet or exceed unit's sales and profit objectives. Maintain food and liquor costs at or below budget percentages and controllable costs below budget.

  • Assist with monthly food and beverage inventories.

  • Build solid relationship with your colleagues.

  • Handle employee issues in a professional and timely manner with Human Resources.

  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Restaurant Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FOOD RUNNER


  • Engage in personable, prompt, and polite interactions with Guests. Respond to questions—know where to find information if unknown to you. Always thank Guests as they leave.

  • Verify chalkboard fish and specials with kitchen.

  • Run food and beverages out to the correct tables as they appear in the window. Check all items for completion, accuracy, and table numbers. Communicate with server and kitchen if something is incorrect or missing from an order.

  • Be aware of and be able to inform Guests of Pacific Catch’s ingredients and components of all food and beverage items, as well as how to find this information if more details are needed.

  • Keep expeditor area clean at all times and free from any unnecessary items.

  • Exercise “full hands in, and full hands out” in the dish pit area.

  • Ensures that all necessary condiments and that appropriate serving implements, dishes, glassware, and utensils are available (and clean) for Guests.

  • Exercise care with all restaurant equipment, dishes, silverware, and glasses to ensure minimum breakage.

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the dining areas and common areas (tables, counters, equipment, restroom, and floors) at all times. For example, always pick up any garbage on the floor and wipe-up water or liquid immediately.

  • During any down time, proactively assist other team members or as requested by manager. Make sure to-go roll-ups (napkin, fork, chopsticks, and knife rolled-up) and server station are stocked.

  • Notify management of any comments, suggestions or complaints from any Guests.

  • Read all notices and memos directed to FOH/serving staff or general staff.

  • Complete all prep and side work as directed per Food Runner Manual and by manager.

  • Checkout with the closing server and manager on duty.

  • Maintain excellent personal grooming and hygiene (i.e., clean and neat hair, facial hair, fingernails), and wear appropriate professional attire, and slip-resistant shoes.

  • Follow all safety procedures.

  • Read all notices for FOH team members and attend all team member meetings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET


  • High school education required

  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the smooth operation of all the front of house areas, including the lobby, ticket office and the audience seating area, during the run of the show. The Audience Services Technician ensures a friendly, welcoming, professional, efficient and accessible service to the public, attending to patron needs and overseeing their safety and well-being before, during, and immediately after events.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional duties not listed, but within classification.


  1. Complete pre-show safety checklist.


  2. Unlock doors and turn on lobby lights prior to events.


  3. Check public areas, including restrooms, lobby, theatre seating area, and front of building and take care of any appearance and/or safety problems.


  4. Reports maintenance issues of the theatre building.


  5. Insure signs or notices relevant to a particular show, are in place.


  6. Oversee stuffing and distribution of programs.


  7. Makes sure that aisles are clear of people's feet or their belongings.


  8. Ensure that food and drink are not brought into the theatre


  9. Resolve customer seating issues.


  10. Seat latecomers and patrons returning to their seats during the event, using a flashlight and observing hold policies.

Responsible for assisting and serving guests while performing duties in a timely manner. Responsible for menu knowledge, service standards while following company policies and procedures.

Duties include:


  • Taking orders

  • Serving food

  • Busing tables

  • Stocking and cleaning

  • Restaurant set up and breakdown

  • Shift duties may include pushing and arranging tables in dinning room.

Must be able to lift 10-15lbs. on a consistent basis and able to stand and walk for long periods at a time. Must be able to carry trays and food items while walking. Must be able to reach above head and bend to pick up items on floor. Shift length will vary with an average duration of 5-7 hours. Shift hours will include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
