Swim Instruction for children (ages 6 months +) and adults. Responsible for groups of up to 4 to 6 swimmers at a time or private 1:1 lessons. Swim instructors that have been certified as Water Safety Instructors and who currently hold Lifeguarding and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications will be considered for employment first. Applicants with past swim team experience are also great candidates. Swim Instructors will be trained to teach with our methodologies after hired for employment. Applicants educated in child development, psychology and lifesaving skills are highly encouraged to apply.

Lifeguards must have Lifeguarding and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certifications to be considered for any Lifeguarding jobs. Lifeguarding shifts are assigned as they come in and can vary from 2-5 hour shifts. (paid for a minimum of 2 hours)

Seahorse Swim School is hiring motivated, energetic and reliable Swim Instructors and Lifeguards for Spring, Summer and Fall swim programs. We teach all ages, levels and abilities to swim aged 6 months and up. Applicants that are hired in Spring are expected to be available for work in the Summer and Fall to maintain consistency in instructors from March to October. (You must be able to work in the Summer too).

Hours avail to teach: Tues/Thurs 2-6pm and Saturdays 9 -1 (sometimes 2) pm at Aptos location. Lifeguarding jobs are available with us throughout the County in the Spring, Summer and early Fall and are at private locations that are mostly Sat and Sun from 2-5pm. Jobs are assigned as they come up. Travel stipends are paid to travel to each location as well and you will be paid a minimum of 2 hours for any guarding job.

Pay starts at $14/hr while training, goes up to $15/hr once you are able to take on your own classes, and then is increased based on job performance, reliability and consistency. Those with experience teaching, come with good/great references and also hold a current LGT cert, will start at $15/hr (or more) as we would assume you would take on your own classes sooner and would be raised based on job performance, reliability and consistency.

Your time learning gymnastics can now be shared with others through your work at California Sports Center. We offer opportunities for beginner coaches and experienced coaches to work with preschool ages, recreational levels, and if qualified, with our competitive teams. Hours per week: 2-29 hours - year 'round hours required. Seasonal jobs are full.

Purpose: Teach gymnastics to boys and/or girls of various levels and ages, including preschool levels and recreational levels.

Success is measured by each instructor’s ability to fill his or her own classes, build loyalty, and graduate students up to the next level.

Instructors teach with the support and guidance of a program Coordinator who is in charge of setting the standards of instruction. Instructors also implement and/or promote specific themes, skills, goals, projects, and events, as assigned.

CSC’s priorities focus around safe effective and fun teaching and we are seeking self motivated coaches who can independently develop the gymnasts through our skills programming. RecreationPlus will be providing organized sports activities during recess, lunch and after school for Jeanne Meadows Elementary. Recreation Plus will send one of their employees out from each academic school day (180 days) during the school year 2020-2021.

 

That person will coordinate activities for morning and lunch recess. Activities include but are not limited to: soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey, tennis, and more. In addition to teaching kids the rules of the various games and the skill involved, sportsmanship will be emphasized. This person will support students in aspects of conflict resolution and support the behavior expectations of the Meadows campus to Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be a Problem Solver. 

 

Service only, equipment will be school's responsibility. The time between recess and lunch will be used to both prep activities to support the school's PE program under the direction of the Meadows Principal, Magdalena Moore.

 

After school sports will be coordinated 2 days per week as indicated, In addition there will be a Saturday tournament. TBD for a total of 5 hours.

Calendar indicates a total of 703.25 service hours.

Will train for the rest of this school year to be ready in August to start classes.
