The Green Room is looking for Theater Directors, Choreographers, and teachers to join our team. We focus on theater, dance, and musical education.

We currently have openings for the following positions:


  • Los Altos Elementary Schools (Starting January)

  • Saratoga Private School (Staring January)


  • @ various schools in Menlo Park, Hillsborough, and San Mateo

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday- (Starting January)

We have great opportunities for people who love ACTING, DANCING, and SINGING, and want to share their knowledge with amazing groups of children!

- Experience working with children, grades K-5 or 6 - 8.

- Theater or dance training (singing training a plus!).

- Ability to supervise groups of children of different ages and create a safe, fun, and creative learning environment.

- Have a vehicle, and be willing to drive to various locations in the Bay Area.

- Strong communication skills, especially with parents and school staff.

- Willing to prepare and follow lesson plans.

We are expanding The Green Room every year, and for that reason, we are looking at candidates with the potential for growth to a full-time role within the company.

$35.00 – $60.00 per hour

The Rabbit Hole Children's Theater is seeking several teachers for the new year:

Dance Teacher:

  • Ballet, Musical Theater and Tap classes.

  • For ages 2 - 8

  • Must have dance experience and be great with children.


Theater and Music Teachers

  • Our classes are centered around dramatic play and the joy of make believe.

  • Monday - Friday

  • For Ages 2 - 10

  • Must have experience in a teaching setting

  • Experience in a Creative Preschool setting is a plus

  • Positive reinforcement classroom management skills required


Birthday Party Teachers:

  • We offer Magical Parties that include puppet shows, face-painting, crafts and more!

  • Saturdays & Sundays 9:00am - 5:00pm

  • Must be able to work at least one day every weekend

  • This is a great job for performers with high energy that are comfortable leading puppet shows, acting out different characters and leading theater games

Hummingbird Music School is hiring music teachers for group classes and private lessons. Piano, Rock Band, Ukulele, Guitar, and Vocal Classes are held at elementary and middle schools in San Carlos, Redwood City and Menlo Park, Monday-Friday between 1:00-4:00pm. Each class is 45 minutes weekly. Teacher to student ratio is ~1:8. Hummingbird Music School provides all equipment.

Private Lessons are scheduled primarily in the afternoons (between 3:00-8:00pm) at students' homes in San Carlos, Redwood City and Menlo Park. There is typically very little driving between lessons.

The Department of Fine Arts at Tarleton State University seeks to find an adjunct instructor to teach violin lessons to students primarily and possibly core music courses, face to face.

Salary: Commensurate with Qualifications and Course Level

Required Education/Experience: Master's degree in discipline or close related field and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline.

Preferred Education/Experience: Earned doctorate in discipline or closely related field. Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.
