We are a well-established and well-respected legal media firm that is seeking new legal videographers and media specialists to add to our team in Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding areas. No legal video experience is required, though the ideal candidate will have at least some basic understanding of operating video and audio equipment. Having flexible or open availability is a huge plus. Punctuality is a must! As are a professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn. We are considered the best at what we do, and the chosen candidate will be expected to represent us as such. 

This is for a part time position within our well-established legal media company. The job entails working remotely, arriving to job locations on-time, setting up/ breaking down video equipment, recording high quality audio and video, and uploading the video files and worksheets in a timely manner. This job will eventually require becoming a Georgia Notary Public. Previous experience in videography/video editing required, preferably at least three years. Mastery of video editing software required (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software). Mastery of high-definition, digital video cameras and hardware required. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Experience with various cameras such as Canon XF305 or similar models, and a thorough understanding of lensing and lighting in various production environments. Experience working in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software (Photoshop) is required. A qualified candidate must be comfortable using professional still camera, video, and audio equipment. A four-year degree in photography, videography, or media production is preferred, but not required. Our client is conducting a search for a Videographer for the world’s largest independent E&P company based out of client located in West Houston near the Energy Corridor. The Videographer will be part of a fast-paced team. The right candidate will be reporting to the Creative Manager, the Videographer works as part of the Marketing and Communications team to record, create, and edit video content for digital campaigns including email marketing, website, and social media as well as reporting and other organizational efforts.


ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Produces a variety of products as needed

  • Operates video cameras, switching, character generation, and digital video effects equipment

  • Edit video and audio into useable segments for a variety of channels

  • Sets up and adjusts studio lighting equipment including fixed and portable tungsten lights

  • Adjusts audio equipment including assorted lavalier cardiod and shogun microphones

  • Works with clients to prepare “B-roll” footage for inclusion in live productions

  • Provides limited troubleshooting of video, audio, and lighting equipment. Perform routine equipment maintenance.

  • Makes recommendations for software and equipment purchases

  • Plans and performs video post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing

  • Utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts

  • Compresses video projects for output

  • Captures recorded video using software and encode media as appropriate

  • Makes video products available in a variety of formats including DVDs or streaming media files


MANDATORY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • 5 + years of experience

  • Self-starter/independent, able to take a vision and make it a reality

  • Excellent skills in writing, developing presentations, and communication

  • Project management

  • Requires a strong understanding of the discipline

  • Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations

  • Makes decisions within broad parameters

  • Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience
