Aggregate Field Service Technician (Mechanic)


Summary:


The position of Aggregate Field Service Technician (Mechanic) will be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of all front-end loaders, haul trucks, excavators, skid steer, forklift, and cranes while maintaining a safety-first attitude. Some knowledge of commercial truck repair is a plus. This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, TCEQ etc.


 


Responsibilities:


· Will analyze malfunctions of all company equipment and perform repairs, rebuilds and maintenance of all equipment.


· Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist and hand tools.


· Examines parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.


· Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, hydraulic cylinders, etc.


· Welds broken parts and structural members.


· Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.


· Servicing equipment as necessary.


· Other duties as assigned.


 


Qualifications:


· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.


· Minimum two years of related experience and/or a combination of both.


· Thorough knowledge of construction, diesel, and other related heavy vehicles and equipment.


· CDL is preferred by not required.


· Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.


 


This position will report to the office in Eagle Lake, TX and require travel to client sites within a 20-30 mile radius to client sites.

    The Field Services Specialist is responsible for performing random and/or assigned field investigations, observations and provider relations support at the direction of the Network Operations Manager or the Provider Relations Director.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Schedules field work in cooperation with the Network Operations Manager and the Provider Relations Manager.
    Performs scheduled and random visits to healthcare facilities and contracted transportation providers to verify level of service; provider's adherence to contract standards for drivers and vehicles; and provider's on-time performance.
    Maintains train-the-trainer certification for Passenger Assistance, Sensitivity & Safety and Defensive Driving.
    Randomly attends scheduled training sessions being conducted by third party trainers to ensure trainers are maintaining the CTAA/NSC instructional standard. If it is determined that a trainer is not meeting the desired goals of the CTAA/NSC training programs, the Safety Director will be notified and will take appropriate action.
    Provides oversight of driver and attendants participation in and compliance with LogistiCare's prescribed training curriculum as outlined in the Safe Driver Program.
    Supports network digitization, platform utilization and other market specific initiatives.

    Position Description:


    The Connected Services Vehicle Electronics ECU (electronic control unit) Specialist will be the single source contact between the connected services organization and the vehicle electronics teams, as well as interacting with upper management as required. 


     


    Will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:


    • Works with the internal team, suppliers and the Connected Services team to:
      • Ensure all requirements (head unit and vehicle electronics) are understandable



    • Manage the defects (head unit and vehicle electronics) and ensure a high quality for connectivity  services

    • Maintain the defect management process for HU including all the various defect management systems.

    • Track change requests with HU suppliers and manage the development timeline

    • Understand the development schedule with the supplier and distribute to the Connected Services Team

    • Unit test all Applications/Feature and a qualification readiness status prior to every qualification event.

    • Track the status of HU S/W releases and provide direction to the team on what S/W release is to be used for qualification events and unit testing.



    • Meetings:

      • Firmware Integration

      • Release Management

      • Defect management meetings and War rooms.



    • Supports the development and approval of the design gate documents.

    • Management one-page report outs on status of Project post design gate

    • Provide firmware test and defects status

    • Performs API Tool Test on every HU S/W release.


     


    Requirements:



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
      5+ Years of Automotive Electrical and/or Connectivity experience including:

    • Must be able to read, write, understand, and make changes with Coding using Python, C, and/or Java

    • Experience in Integration, being able to problem solve and troubleshoot

    • 2 years in automotive electrical development and design.

    • 2 years in telematics connectivity.

    • Requires strong leadership, management and technical skills to project manage the teams.

    • Vehicle CAN Bus tools

    • Logging tools

    • Ability to review development timing and ensure meeting best practices

    • Excellent Organization Skills

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects and tasks
