Aggregate Field Service Technician (Mechanic)


Summary:


The position of Aggregate Field Service Technician (Mechanic) will be instrumental in the repair and maintenance of all front-end loaders, haul trucks, excavators, skid steer, forklift, and cranes while maintaining a safety-first attitude. Some knowledge of commercial truck repair is a plus. This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, TCEQ etc.


 


Responsibilities:


· Will analyze malfunctions of all company equipment and perform repairs, rebuilds and maintenance of all equipment.


· Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist and hand tools.


· Examines parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.


· Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, hydraulic cylinders, etc.


· Welds broken parts and structural members.


· Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.


· Servicing equipment as necessary.


· Other duties as assigned.


 


Qualifications:


· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.


· Minimum two years of related experience and/or a combination of both.


· Thorough knowledge of construction, diesel, and other related heavy vehicles and equipment.


· CDL is preferred by not required.


· Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.


 


This position will report to the office in Eagle Lake, TX and require travel to client sites within a 20-30 mile radius to client sites.

  • Must supply their own tools.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Must possess a PA State Vehicle Inspector's license, or the ability to acquire one within the first 6 months.

  • Must have working knowledge that relates to total engine repair and replacement, running gear and suspension, electrical and welding on all company owned vehicles.

Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field. You will be learning the ends and ours of vehicle engines, transmissions, and everything needed to become an effective mechanic.

2. 2-Year degree in technical field preferred


3. Basic computer skills required


4. Valid driver’s license required


5. Must be capable of operating fork lifts


6. Strong mechanical aptitude


7. Powersports experience preferred


8. Data acquisition & diagnostic tool experience preferred


9. Fabrication & welding preferred


10. Minimum 3 years mechanic or technician experience preferred
