Your Role and Responsibilities
The UX Designer will be responsible for understanding business requirements (including any technical limitations) by conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. As part of the product strategy group, you will partner with product managers, tech leads, marketers and business analysts to solve complex problems by crafting thoughtful, useful and usable user experiences for our software platform.

  • Synthesize high-level business requirements into usable and elegant design solutions

  • Create detailed wireframes for complex web and mobile applications quickly

  • Design and conduct small and medium scale usability tests and other UX research activities

  • Work autonomously with product managers to research, define and prioritize features needed to create great user experiences

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the delivered product matches your design vision

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or similar level college education in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or related field

  • 6+ years of professional experience in interaction design / user experience design (enterprise or SaaS software preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience in designing a product from concept to delivery including wireframes, mid-fidelity deliverables, and interactive prototypes

  • Strong design vision: ability to be innovative in all spaces and create a wide variety of solutions

  • Knowledge of UX research and evaluation techniques

  • Ability to think strategically about overall platform focus, direction, and integration

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated, dedicated, detail-oriented, and organized

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching junior level designers

  • High level of empathy; ability to relate to users from various perspectives

  • Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

    Job Description

    Pacific Residential Mortgage is looking for a full-time talented and experienced Graphic Designer who specializes in email marketing design, User Experience (UX), and User Interface (UI) designs specifically for the web.  The chosen candidate will primarily be responsible for designing marketing emails, assist with redesigning PRMs primary site, and then provide further application design as needed. 


    • At least two to three years demonstrable experience working in a corporate environment as a graphic designer and UX expert.

    • Design portfolio that demonstrates aesthetic and functional web experience

    • Strong User Experience design skills and standards knowledge

    • Understanding and demonstrable experience designing for ISO/IEC Web standards

    • Thorough understanding of typography in the User Experience

    • Understanding of design as it relates to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

    • Design optimization for performance

    • W3C MW (Mobile Web) Best Practices version 1.0+

    • Basic understanding of HTML 5 and CSS

    • Ability to positively handle constructive criticism and push back when you disagree

    • Ability to defend design decisions using current standards and practices

    • Ability to meet reasonable work deadlines, or communicate well in advance schedule changes

    • Strong HTML 5 skill and knowledge

    • Strong CSS skill and knowledge

    • Strong HTML/CSS skills for creating cross-client supported emails

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge in JavaScript and UI centric libraries/frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, etc.

    • Strong knowledge and experience with organic Search Engine Optimization

    • Wordpress and PHP experience

    • Pardot Marketing Automation software experience

    • Salesforce development experience

    • Print Graphic Design experience a plus
