    Position Summary
    Full-time position available on or after March 2, 2020 for Public Affairs and Communications.

    Under the general direction from the Director of Communications and Creative Services, the Marketing Specialist will plan, manage, develop and implement a variety of key marketing communications designed to reach and engage Stanislaus State external constituents. This position is a key project manager and external communications tactician on the communications and public affairs staff, serving as the primary lead for marketing projects, external communications and outreach, and is one of the primary written content creators. This position is integral to advancing the overall communications initiatives of the University, and plays a role in crisis and emergency risk communication activities.

    Job Duties
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    Create, support, coordinate and execute marketing and outreach initiatives.
    Direct and coordinate project development; serve as point of contact for constituents on assigned projects.
    In conjunction with the Director of Communications and Creative Services, develop fullscale marketing project plans and collateral to better position the University to achieve its strategic goals.
    Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education: A college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, required. A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or a closely related field, strongly preferred, or a master's degree preferred.
    Experience: Five years full-time professional experience specializing in the researching, writing and editing of communications content in a higher education institution, public relations agency or closely related field, preferred. Demonstrated experience as a marketing coordinator or project manager, with extensive experience meeting tight deadlines in an organized and proactive manner, strongly preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Ability to work independently, make decisions and multi-task to balance multiple priorities.

    Shift : 5pm-1:30am (overtime required as needed)


    Pay : $13/hr


    Location : Delhi CA

    The sanitation worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize food, beverage, and/or drug processing plants, which are operated by the employer's customers, to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards imposed by the customer and applicable governmental agencies, such as the USDA.


    The cleaning crew is required to completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant's normal production shifts, which typically requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/night/early mornings shifts (specific work shift to be determined by the supervisor) and frequent overtime (weekends, days, evenings).


    The sanitation worker is required to work in an environment that is wet, very humid and undergoes extreme temperature changes, from very hot to very cold. Due to the changing environment, a worker must constantly be aware of the affects of these changes. The sanitation worker will also be working around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process.


    The sanitation worker must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.


    Essential Functions:



    • Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment, chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout each and every work shift

    • Assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices.

    • Wear employer-specified protective gear, including three pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc. (some of which to be supplied by employer).

    • Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear)

    • Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during long periods of time.

    • Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the sanitation worker or any other person.

    Central California based General Contractor seeks to hire an Estimator.


    Estimator will generate and manage commercial estimates required for sales, pre-construction and bidding efforts. Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction and construction phases of a project, knowledge of all scopes, systems, and assemblies. Estimates vary from design-build, guarantee maximum price estimates, to stipulated sum bids. Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines in commercial and public work projects including, but not limited to civil and site work, structural, concrete, finishes, mechanical, and electrical. A complete understanding of the interrelationship of the cost of labor, material, equipment, and productivity in the unit costs used at each level of an estimate.


    A seasoned Project Manager has fostered lasting relationships with clients/subcontractors/inspectors, etc. They have overseen projects of 1-15 million and have working knowledge with reading drawings, drafting, RFI’s, change orders, identify potential exposures and/or risk involved while staying on schedule so projects are completed timely.


    The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, Provide a purposed construction schedule, processes and management practices; excellent analytical and problem solving skills; good communication skills; and be organized, efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external clients alike.


    We expect our estimators to:


    Manage entirety of bidding process.


    Build estimates based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics, sequencing and means and methods of a project.


    Be a key collaborator for new and existing subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding and project award.


    Prepare estimate presentations, special studies, budget control reports and estimating documents for projects and client presentations.


    Understanding of market labor, and commodity conditions and impacts on construction costs.


    Conduct quantity take-offs, variance and maintain quantity controls.


    Proficient on a computer and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
