In service of that mission, in 2020 and beyond, MoveOn will drive impactful, movement-connected, multichannel, nimble campaigns aimed at impact.As a training intern at MoveOn, you will help educate, inspire, and equip MoveOn members around the country to take action through impactful campaigns that influence the behavior of people and institutions, impact the outcomes of elections, and expand the realities of what’s possible.


  • Assist with the before, during, and after trainings task list including writing SMS scripts, setting up Zoom meetings, checking Zoom links, updating training hub-sites with recordings, and uploading chat records to training Google drive 

  • Compile results of post-training participant surveys and report out to the Organizing Team with any key notes

  • Assist the Training Director in drafting requests for proposals

  • Brainstorm, with Training Director and Organizing Team, creative tactics and methods of training that will reach a younger, more inclusive audience

  • Compile a list of training resources for staff and possibly members to attend, i.e. equity trainings, progressive convenings, and other professional development opportunities for staff to further skills

  • Build an easy-to-access library of trainings and resources for Super Volunteers

  • Occasionally join and take notes at meetings with organizing team and vendors

  • Assist with member recruitment for training events

A successful candidate will have...

  • Experience with and interest in activism, advocacy, organizing, or politics

  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment

  • Regular Central time zone morning availability is desired, but hours are negotiable and flexible

  • Proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, Slack, and Twitter

  • Strong communication and writing skills, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling

Reports to: Training Director

Location: Position may be based anywhere in the continental United States. May require occasional travel.  

Classification, Salary, and Benefits: Part-time (up to 15 hours per week), $25 per hour, a monthly stipend toward cell phone and internet costs and everything you need to work from a home office. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track-record of: hunting for new business and building a robust pipeline, building relationships with C-suite executives, utilizing a consultative sales approach to close, selling on value and is passionate about training and coaching to turn mediocre players into top performers.

As a BD & Training Associate, you will prospect for small-to-medium size businesses in the Chicago-land area and conduct effective conversations to outline what differentiates us from our competitors and the benefits of our training and development services. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate prospects' business and sales needs and suggesting appropriate service packages.

  • Drive sales through effective lead generation and prospect techniques

  • Follow the Sandler sales training process to close business

  • Weekly networking in the Chicagoland suburbs

  • Set goals and implement weekly prospecting behaviors

  • Build strong pipeline within 6 months

  • Close business in 6 months

  • Deliver weekly training to groups in 6 months

  • Hold yourself accountable to continuously learn and grow

Minimum Skills Required:
Minimum three years direct selling experience
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software technologies and programs
Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with clients and vendors

  • History of earning a minimum of $80,000

Previous Sandler knowledge - HUGE PLUS!

First year earning potential - $80,000-$100.000

Second year and beyond - $150+++

As a Training Coordinator at WJE, you will work closely with the rest of the Knowledge Sharing team, industry subject-matter experts, and staff of all levels to support and achieve WJE's ongoing Knowledge Sharing initiatives. 


  • Provide administrative support before, during, and after company-wide training events, both online and in person

  • Assist Knowledge Sharing team with implementation and maintenance of learning management system (LMS365), including organizing and maintaining training records and educational resources

  • Employ superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to promptly and clearly address internal and external inquiries regarding education events, training records, and related efforts

  • Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining a high standard of excellence and exceptional attention to detail

  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, including catering, technology, printed materials, supplies, attendee communications, etc. 

  • Participate in onsite execution of workshops, including evening and weekend events

  • Provide support for production of live webinars, including technical troubleshooting

  • Develop, process, and summarize survey data for assessment and improvement of Knowledge Sharing efforts


  • Associate's degree or better in business, communications, English, human resources, or related field (equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)

  • Professional, service-oriented mindset, with enthusiasm for supporting others in their work and an interest in workplace learning and development

  • Proactive, team player mindset, with willingness to take on various responsibilities, including necessary clerical tasks

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Certification or degree in workplace education and development a plus, but not required
