The SF Marin Food Bank is comprised of a dedicated team of approximately 150 staff working collaboratively to provide close to 50 million pounds of food to over 210,000 people in the Bay Area – a region where 1 in 4 people are at risk of hunger. We are currently looking for a Class C Driver in our Marin facility to help provide additional support in food deliveries to our partners and pantries. PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Drive non-commercial Food Bank truck to transport recyclable/

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES


  • Conduct pre-trip inspection of vehicle prior to every trip and route as prescribed.

  • Loading, transporting, and delivering recycling/compost items in a safe, timely manner.

  • Pick up recycling/compost items from SFMFB lead distribution network (i.e., Food Pantries, Pop-Up, Drive Thru distributions, etc.) and transport items to a recycling/compost center as prescribed.

  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.

  • Maintain neat, and legible vehicle and driver documents (DVIR, Driver log, etc.).

  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

  • Use material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) in a safe manner to perform all daily warehouse duties.

  • Organize product to be recycled, dump and maximize load.

  • Keep truck clean and organized at all times.

  • Receive, sort, and process produce, salvage, and food drive products.

  • Accurately complete all paperwork for inventory transfers and items to dump on a daily basis.

  • Maintain an organized and sanitary facility and monitor the sanitation schedule.

  • Perform other duties and tasks as required.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS


  • Recyclable/compostable materials are processed in an efficient and safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Possession and maintenance of a clean California Class “C” driver's license.

  • One-year driving experience preferred.

  • Electric pallet-jack experience a plus.

  • Ability to do heavy lifting.

  • Able to work Overtime when necessary.

  • Use of basic math and computer skills to maintain accurate transactions.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in the warehouse.

  • Ability to work and interact well with individuals (staff and volunteers) from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally diverse environment.

  • Follows all agency policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency procedures.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of complex intellectual and practical problems

Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform advanced math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs

Language Ability: Fluency in English. Good writing skills. Cantonese/Spanish a plus

• Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach to upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary

• Stamina to stand and walk for entire work shift

• Strength to lift 60 lbs of merchandise

• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills

• Motivated to train and learn

• Flexibility in schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

• Valid drivers license with:


  • No DWI convictions within the past four years

  • No more than one moving violation AND/OR fault accident in the last three years

• Minimum 18 years of age

Class A licensed Over the road truck drivers living in and around Las Vegas wanting either a dedicated fleet or regional fleet with weekends off, here are fleets for you.


Class A CDL over the road drivers, dedicated lanes have been created to run back and forth between Las Vegas and Phoenix. This is all dry product that is drop and hook. Starting pay is between .41 and .45cpm. Drivers are home weekends.


Also available is a Five State Regional. Running California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico. Home weekends. Starting pay is between .41/m and .45/m. Drivers should see 2500 miles a week on this very very busy regional. Drop a hook freight.


* New hire Quick Start bonus program



  • Orientation pay is now paid on day of completion of orientation.

  • Guaranteed mile pay now in effect during the first 13 weeks of employment - Regionals/Dedicated fleets minimum pay is 2000 miles a week

  • Guaranteed miles are paid during drivers orientation - Drivers are paid 2000 miles even while in class ( get paid for miles you didn't run yet while in orientation )

  • Extra Bonus: After drivers deliver only their second load, drivers receive a "second load delivery bonus" of $500 deposited right away

  • Process vehicles through End-of-Line area (EOL) as required by operational condition and after Team Member is trained and released to independently work.

  • Work production station in accordance with EOL rotation plan and perform duties as outlined in the Standard Methods and Procedures (SMP’s).

  • Work stations include but are not limited to, wheel alignment, engine test, calibration, Head-up-Display calibration, V167 running board installation, shower load and WSA positions.

  • Tasks include physical work including overhead assembly operations

  • TM may be asked to support other related functions as requested by the Group Leader.


 


Marginal Tasks/Functions:



  • Maintain 5S standards and keep area and general equipment in clean and neat condition. Report broken or damaged equipment and tools to the responsible supervisor.

  • Report damage or mutilation to vehicles immediately after discovery

  • At the request of the Group Leader, keep production records such as tally sheets, production numbers, shift numbers and details as needed to support problem solving


 


Education/Experience Requirements:

The MBA Summer Associate (GMDP) in the Global Commercial Operations and Enablement team will focus on the following objectives while at SCIEX:


  • Evaluate different sources of Competitive Intelligence that exist within the Danaher and SCIEX Commercial teams, Marketing and internal data collection sources (databases, CRM and sales planning tools)

  • Develop a plan for efficient mining, reporting and use of Competitive Intelligence (CI) data to help drive SCIEX's Commercial engine

  • Design and implement a tool to monitor trends and insights in Competitive Intelligence, with a focus on finding leading indicators of real-time competitive activity in the field

  • Derive insight on competitive dynamics in the field to support strategic commercial decisions

  • Provide better competitor profiling data for use in Business Analytics tools such as SWOT analysis, Trend Analysis, Simulation and Forecasting tools

  • Presentation of findings, process and analysis suggestions to leadership



At the completion of this project, the intern will be expected to have delivered the following:

  • Collations of multiple data sources available internally at SCIEX/Danaher for competitive intelligence, and ranking of effectiveness/usefulness of current source reports

  • Evaluation and report-out of external competitive intelligence tools/software available for CI tracking and analysis

  • Field commercial team interviews on requirements and uses for CI - evaluate and recommend value that CI reporting and communication could provide the field team and the cadence and method for this communication

  • Internal CI team interview and evaluation of current process and reporting; recommendations for improvement of process or automation of process.

  • Evaluation of key business insights that would be possible to add to our CI reporting, with implementation of real time tracking tools

  • Plan and develop a consolidated CI dashboard tool with analytics to monitor trends
