Job Description


This position is an excellent avenue for getting to learn about the resort's day to day operations. This position is the "Face" of Eldora, and you will be the first person everyone sees upon arrival. Above all else we are looking for fun, outgoing and energetic folks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited too; having an upbeat, fun and energetic attitude, directing traffic to various lots, directing traffic to exact parking spots, cleaning common areas (tables, floors and restrooms); helping Eldora in its goal to be environmentally friendly by managing the daily outtake of recycling, compost and trash; keeping outdoor walkways, entrances and decks safe and clear of snow by shoveling or using a snow blower; must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season, must be able to lift at least 50lbs regularly and must be able to work in all types of weather.

21 years of age and a valid driver's license recommended but not required

Job Summary:

You are the copilot, concierge and safety engineer of a multi-million dollar machine.  You are responsible for the safe, friendly and efficient travel of our guests and fellow teammates as they navigate premier terrain.  Make our guests feel welcomed by joining our team as a Lift Operator!

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:


  • Monitor the operation of the lift continually and notify the appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions

  • Maintain a safe work area, i.e., ramp heights, tools stored, mazes set up etc.

  • Adhere to all ski/ride policies, i.e., Responsibility Code, designated trails, skiing/riding on and off the clock etc.

  • Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen to and respond appropriately to every guest’s needs and or questions, in person, outside of the lift building

  • Actively and efficiently perform maze control

  • Abides by operating procedures, i.e., opening procedures, downloading procedures, last chair protocol, etc.

  • Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures i.e., punctuality, attendance, dress and grooming standards, etc.

  • Ensure recycled materials are disposed of properly

  • Help to preserve our natural environment

  • Help guests and fellow teammates enjoy their time on the mountain

  • Remember that fun is our product- create fun, enjoy your work and share the contagious spirit

Qualifications:


  • Must be able to stand outside in inclement weather for long periods of time

  • May lift up to 100 lbs., assistance is available for heavy lifting.

  • Must be able to make quick decisions regarding safety.

  • Must be able to maintain control and rational demeanor in emotionally charged situations involving guests and/or employees.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed

Job Description


Ensuring our guests have a memorable experience goes hand in hand with their safety. Executing the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of skiers and riders is essential to this position. The position also requires shoveling and maintaining safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area. It is also of great importance to interact with guests to ensure a positive experience, promote safety in the workplace and maintain clean and neat work stations. Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.


Job Requirements



  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds


  • Skiing/Snowboarding Ability Required -- No, but preferred.

Job Description


Snow Groomers ensure that our guests are provided with safe and high-quality skiing and snowboarding surfaces every day during the season. Each night constantly changing weather conditions create different challenges for the Snow Groomers to prepare a high quality and safe snow surface for the following day's skiers and snowboarders. Eldora is looking for an experienced snow cat operator with at least 2 years grooming experience. Candidate must be proficient with blade and tiller operations. Winch cat and terrain park building is a plus. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
