BIG PICTURE:

LiveGlam is searching for Seasonal Order Fulfillment Associates to assist our Fulfillment team in Los Angeles, CA. We are heading into our busy season and will need this person for around a month. There could be a possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates.

The perfect candidate will be someone who has no problem rolling up his or her sleeves to work hard, go the extra mile and not stopping until the job gets done. This position requires someone that is highly dependable and diligent in picking, packing and shipping customer orders in a time-efficient and accurate way.

The Fulfillment Department at LiveGlam is truly the heart of the company and is the most important factor contributing towards our excellent customer service ratings. Making sure our customers receive exactly what they order and on time is essential so this role is a super important part of our team’s success!

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

Assisting the Shipping Manager as directed in receiving, sorting and storing products

Reading and understanding customer orders

Locating correct merchandise to fulfill orders

Inspecting products for any damage before packing

Picking and packing products for shipment

Posting shipping and weight charges

Keeping warehouse and shipping spaces clean and hazard-free

WHAT YOU HAVE:

Proof of age (must be at least 18 years old)

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (English fluency and Spanish proficiency is okay too)

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Physical dexterity and strength (ability to lift up to 50 pounds)

Ability to stand and/or walk up to 8 hours each day

Some computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Shipping software (specifically ShipStation) are a plus but not required

Inventory experience is also a plus

WHO OVERSEES YOU:

The Order Fulfillment Associate reports directly to the Shipping Manager with whom he or she will have regular and significant interaction related to fulfillment procedures, inventory, order batching, shipping schedules, shipping accuracy, and more.

WHO YOU OVERSEE:

Order Fulfillment Associates do not oversee anyone.

In USC district less than 1 mile from school and shops!

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday 830am- 530PM with an occasional Saturday.

Position Summary:


As a Shipping Clerk at Georgia Expo, you will work with freight and/or ground shipping using pulling and packing lists to perform order fulfillment operations, prepare and package product for shipment to customers, and properly ship products using designated LTL, FTL, and ground and expedited shipping methods.


Areas of Responsibility:


Safety



  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in Shipping Department.

  • Understand and follow safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.


Order Fulfillment



  • Check pick sheets to verify what orders need to be pulled and identify the location and availability of product. If incorrect location, check for location by visually inspecting stock.

  • Check orders in staging area ensuring order has been filled properly including checking correct product, quality, accurate label, and quantity.

  • Pull orders from stock via forklift.

  • Pack orders on pallet according to size and weight per Company standards.

  • Wrap pallet to prepare for shipment based on Company standards.


Shipping



  • Prepare detailed packing list and create Bill of Lading (BOL) for freight orders using Process Shipper.

  • Prepare picking sheet using MAS 200 and process picking sheet using FedEx Ship Manager and/or UPS WorldShip software.

  • Manually log via clipboard order shipments and LTL/Freight shipping.

  • Create Bill of Lading (BOL) using Process Shipper when required for international shipments.

  • Prepare NAFTA documentation when required by Accounting Department for international shipments.

  • Load appropriate delivery trucks with forklift or by hand using proper safety procedures.


Inventory/Maintenance



  • Stock picking shelves when low only and when time permits.

  • Keep Shipping Department area clean and organized.

  • Complete forklift inspection forms at the beginning of every shift and prior to using.


Skill Requirements:



  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects at one time.

  • Ability to understand the workflow of sales order information through production and back to customer.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize weekly and daily work orders.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and energetic.

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing a plus.

A Day in the Life of a Shipping & Receiving Technician


Your role would be working on the Shipping & Receiving Team and responsible for receiving in raw materials, as well as packing finished parts for shipment. You would also help out with final visual inspections on outgoing parts to our customers, so any previous quality control experience is a plus.


· Wraps and packages product and material to ensure quality while in transit. Oils and preserves materials, as needed, to prevent rust and corrosion during transport.


· Receives, unloads, examines and counts incoming material and product.


· Verifies counts of parts against shipping documentation during receiving and shipping processes for accuracy.


· Maintains accurate records of items shipped and received by completing travelers and other required documentation.


· Visually inspects inbound and outbound shipments for any damage or defects, and reports it to appropriate Quality personnel.


· Communicates incoming and outgoing status of parts and material to drivers, production and other personnel.


· Performs other duties as assigned.

 Job Responsibilities



  •  Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

  • Inspects materials for damage.  Delivers material and equipment to QC department

  • Responsible for of all incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods.

  • Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain stock inventory records.   May check balances against actual inventory and correct variances.  Assist with inventory and cycle counts.

  •  Posts material record from purchase orders, receiving slips, manufacturing or shipping documents and maintain balance. 

  •  Checks to ensure shipments are properly packaged, labelled and documented and files copies of shipping records.

  • During the unpacking process, counts the items in the box and compares them to the invoice.  If discrepancies are found, follows up with the shipper to resolve issue.

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Prepare shipping papers, bills of lading, etc.

  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons

  •  Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

  •  Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • May operate material handling equipment, including hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area.

  • May use overhead crane and forklift.  Must be willing to get certified, if needed.

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of work area. Follow instructions to keep and follow 6S methodology.

  • Learn tasks associated with different generator models, if needed.

  • May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.

  • Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and rules.

  • Complete other duties and work in other areas as assigned by the Company, whether or not trained in the area.  This includes performing housekeeping tasks.


Requirements/Qualifications:



  • SAP/ERP System Experience strongly preferred

  • Must have basic computer knowledge

  • High School Diploma/GED Required

  • 1+ years of relevant experience required

 The Shipping clerk will report to the Manufacturing Manager. The Shipping Clerk packs, wraps and ships out, per the customer’s order.  May be required to drop off shipments to UPS/FED EX/ETC.


Knowledge of Shipping documents, including bill of ladings and packing slips, basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.


Overtime available and weekends. Able to lift up to 50 lbs,


Regular schedule is from Monday to Friday
