General Responsibilities

○ Responsible for Dog Care in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.  

Facilities & Safety 

○ Ensure cleanliness of all rescue spaces, particularly kennels and dog-related areas, this includes deep cleaning kennels

○ Human Safety (Volunteers, Staff, Adopters, etc.): follow safety protocols throughout our spaces  

Dog Operations 

○ Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of dogs under our care 

○ Feed and care for the dogs on a daily basis

○ Document behavior and conduct behavioral assessment of dogs 

○ Track incident reports, ensure they’re written and that reporting forms are available for all volunteers, adopters, and staff onsite 

○ Match dogs and assignment into kennel areas  

○  Keep track of dogs and where they’re allocated 

○ Grade dogs for our volunteers and keep it up-to-date 

○ Ensure dogs receive medical attention, when needed 

○ Responsible for intake of animals - ensuring space and medical supplies are prepared for intakes

Supporting Family Dog Rescue departments 

○ Support & collaborate with teams within Family Dog Rescue (Adoptions, Volunteer, & Corporate Engagement)

 POSITION SUMMARY:  


As a Caregiver you will be responsible for all duties to safely provide for the resident’s care and well-being in a professional manner.  



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


 



  1. Assist with all of the care needs a resident might require including, but not limited to, toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring from place to place.

  2. Will assist in the dining room during meal times including, but not limited to, set up, take meal/beverage orders, serve, bus tables.

  3. Will assist with activities when required and/or be responsible for getting the residents to scheduled activities.

  4. Will be responsible for getting the resident ready and to the lobby for scheduled appointments

  5. Will be aware of what constitutes a change of condition and report to Medication Tech/Resident Care Coordinator/HSD immediately.

  6. Capable of washing, drying, folding and returning laundry to the correct resident.

  7. Collects and disposes trash in designated receptacles.

  8. Has knowledge of, and can demonstrate proper technique, or can learn how to assist with a gait belt, sit to stand lift, transfer board, oxygen equipment, catheter, specimen, transfer pole, trapeze, wheel chair, scale, and other equipment as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator/HSD.

  9. Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights. 


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Has familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population.  Previous experience preferred, but not necessary.
High school graduate preferred.  Preferred proficiency in English.  Attends in-services monthly required for position.  Receives and maintains First Aid certification.

Home Helpers Senior Care is looking for compassionate individuals who are interested in helping our seniors live independently in the comfort of their own home!


 


CURRENTLY LOOKING for caregiver willing to work in Hawthorne 9am-noon Monday-Thursday Companionship and Transportation to Appointments/Groceries


Caregivers provide in-home non-medical care to our clients. Responsibilities may include: companionship, meal preparation, running errands for clients, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, taking clients to/from doctor appointments, and personal care (which may include helping with bathing and dressing).


 


Reliable car, insurance and valid drivers licence recommended!


Full-time and part-time shifts available!


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, 24 Hour live-ins


Salary Starting at $13.00 /hour
