Transportation Security Officers / Airport Security Screeners provide security and protection of air travelers, airports, and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner.


Screeners will use cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo, and on passengers, preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.


This includes but is not limited to pat-down searches, the operation of x-ray machines, baggage screening, and ticket review.


Qualifications:

  • Conduct shortage control, loss prevention and safety inspections and audits, provide accurate documentation of results and communicate all potential or existing hazards to key holder on duty.


  • Monitor physical security protection standards and access control of building.


  • Utilize stores CCTV, alarm and exception reporting systems, (Sherlock) as directed.


  • Represent Burlington in court proceedings when required, including post-employment if necessary.

  • Programing systems including alarm.com and alarm.net configuration.

  • Programing and configuring Total Connect solutions.

  • Z-wave knowledge is desired but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MSA Security is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill openings for Explosive Detection Canine Handler (EDCH).  The ideal candidate for this role would be a highly-motivated retired law enforcement officer or prior military canine handler to work in the Oakland , CA  Region. We will train the right candidate. You must have a dependable personal vehicle to transport yourself and your Explosive Detection Canine partner to and from various client locations. The EDC will reside with you in your home when not working with you on assignment. This position pays competitive hourly rate plus a monthly stipend to care for the EDC.


Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



  • Partnering with a trained Explosive Detection Canine partner to conduct searches in/at assigned client sites, including corporate buildings, loading docks, delivery vehicles, open areas and/or other situations as needed

  • 4+ years of a military K9 handler role with full military handler course
