Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

New Items

  • Will work on the achievement of business objectives through placement of new items at all assigned stores

Distribution Audits

  • Will work to meet Client and Company objectives by maintaining full distribution on existing SKUs and ensuring signage are in place

Reset Activity and Schematics Completion


  • Must be able to maintain schematic standards by ensuring all authorized items are in distribution and set to shelf standards


  • Must be able to maintain schematic integrity through consistent communication with Retail Supervisor and other retail personnel


POS Placement

  • Hang shelf signs, place coupons on product, etc. as directed by client

Customer Relations

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively both internally to management and externally with Customers who will verify work is completed correctly

Display Building

  • Assemble cardboard displays for promotion of an item as directed by client

Reporting Administration

  • Will report daily into the companys web application each days activities and the work performed

This route covers stores in the following cities: Various Northern California Cities: Including Richmond, CA
Start time: 5 AM – completion (shift typically last 4-8 hours M-F)

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A TRAVELING REMODEL MERCHANDISER?



  • Work on a team for weeks at a time traveling to major brand retailers such as Albertsons and Safeway

  • Working a large geographic area that MAY REQUIRE overnight stays for numerous days at a time

  • Place and assemble store fixtures and build store displays

  • Use planograms to move shelving, set products, and place price tags


TRAVELING REMODEL MECHANDISER QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Are you 18 years or older?

  • Must have reliable transportation or means of traveling to various retail locations.

  • May need to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that involve walking, bending, and standing for long periods.

    WHAT DOES A RETAIL MERCHANDISER DO?



    • Audits, Scanning, Re-stocking

    • Working independently or on a team to complete various projects, like cutting in new items, category resets, Grand Openings, and store remodels

    • Place and assemble store fixtures and build store displays

    What will I be doing?


    As a Merchandiser, YOU will help ensure customer satisfaction by:
    • Safely and efficiently stock new or changing products by following the Retailer store schematic
    • Clean, straighten or assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines
    • Check code dates, rotate products that may be old or slow moving and remove unsaleable items
    • Re-tag shelves in the store


    Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm; 32 hours a week

    Associate Skills Needed:


    • Ability to read a store schematic.
