MERCHANDISING TEAM**

We are looking for someone who takes great joy in making things beautiful and loves working with plants. You will work with a small team that takes all of the merchandise that arrives at our door and turns it into the wonderland that is Flora Grubb Gardens. You will move a lot of heavy merchandise around all day, both indoors and outside. You will interact with our customers, make sure they feel welcome, and connect them to a more experienced salesperson when necessary.

Part of the magic of Flora Grubb Gardens is in the beauty of how everything is displayed. Your job will be to make that magic happen, over and over again. Because the media we work with are garden plants, pottery, and furniture, you’ll need to be strong, fit, and enthusiastic about working on your feet much of the time.

It would be great if you have experience building displays in any retail environment. You’ll need to have had some plant and garden experience and a passion for gaining more. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn!

Many people have excelled in this job who have a background in design or art. It would be a huge plus if you have a passion of horticulture and a strong interest in garden design. You’ll be in a great position to learn from the skilled horticulturalists and garden designers who work here.

-May be called upon to fill in as Route Sales Relief Driver

-Safe vehicle operation, including, but not limited to; AM/PM vehicle inspection reports, visual vehicle inspection (walk around), cleanliness of vehicle, professional, courteous and safe driving techniques

-Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

-High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

-MUST HAVE valid driver's license and clean DMVR

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player mentality

-Familiar on Microsoft Office with basic computer proficiency

-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent

Maintain Displays in store
SCHEDULE: - Starts ASAP
Day Shift 8 am to 4 pm


Monday to Thursday

PAY: $14 per hour
Travel to multiple stores in the area on a weekly basis to stock and refresh displays.

Overview:


We are seeking Merchandisers for our Main Street Solution team to service multiple stores in the following assigned market:


 


 


Route: San Francisco, CA (Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, Millbrae, Pacifica, San Bruno, San Francisco, and South Francisco)


 


Main Street Solution’s primary focus is merchandising gift card product and various product lines in multiple retailers nationwide. We pack out product, set to plan-o-gram, report out-of-stock, place shelf tags, conduct resets and install new fixtures. We build relationships with Retail Management and provide customer’s shopping guidance of our product lines we merchandise.

Responsibilities



  • Complete all assigned projects within designated territory

  • Participate in weekly conference calls

  • Complete all call report questions and take pictures of completed work via tablet

  • Build and develop strong relationships/partnerships with Retail Store Management at each account

  • Complete all types of merchandising activities

    • Installs (set and build)

    • Resets (read and understand Plan-o-grams)

    • New item Cut-ins

    • Signage Placement

    • Conduct inventories and process returns

    • Audits

    • Cover stores outside of designated territory on as needed basis and/or vacation coverage

    • Ability to use web portal reporting systems from home computer and wireless tablet




Qualifications



  • Merchandising and/or retail experience.

  • Work 18 - 20 hours on average per week. Hours will vary and may flex up to 25 hours during some weeks.

  • Able to travel 30-60 miles radius around home market

  • Experience with computers, smart phones, IPads, etc.

  • Must own home computer and have internet access

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible and work in fast-pace environment

  • Strong work ethic, be pro-active and ability to overcome obstacles

  • Reliable car, car insurance, valid driver license and excellent driving record

  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen


Physical Demands



  • Bending, squatting, extending arms upward and downward, standing for long periods at a time

  • Lifting and/or transporting boxes up to 30lbs.

  • Ability to move fixtures on wheels

  • Read and understand directions and instructions on IPADS or Smartphones
