IN A NUTSHELL:

The GM is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day unit operations from service to financial and cost management to overall team leadership and management. The GM sets the tone for the FOH, interfacing with and ensuring the customer’s needs are met, and the BOH, verifying that food quality and safety is maintained.This is a full time salaried position, with great benefits. The ideal candidate has restaurant management experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and technical skills.

THE DETAILS:



  • Oversee day to day operations and manage all unit employees


    • Create a warm, welcoming work environment and help cultivate company culture

    • Interface with customers, taking orders/reservations, touching tables

    • Promote and train 
weekly specials and holiday menus 


    • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and consistency are maintained and safe food handling practices are followed

    • Ensure that every plate of food served is up to Wise Sons standards and speed of service is maintained

    • Ensure proper storage of all foodstuffs including proper cooling and holding temperatures, 
labeling and FIFO rotation

    • Monitor complaints and address concerns and feedback as necessary, respond to Yelp

    • Coordinate with the Catering Manager to complete catering orders

    • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the restaurant utilizing open/close checklists to preserve the cleanliness of the unit including equipment maintenance and safety 





  • Financial management


    • Daily financial reporting, POS updates and audits (menu pricing), upload receipts and invoices, enter CTUIT communications logs, and all HR related procedures

    • Cash handling, bank deposits and tips




  • Cost management including labor and food


    • Oversee all cafe FOH & BOH staffing, including but not limited to: scheduling and training of staff for efficient service; hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees while adhering to both Wise Sons policies and California labor law; monitoring and reporting staff breaks and hours

    • Maintain food costs; Order and inventory all products

The Tiki Terrace is looking for a host position.  The host position will greet customers as they walk in the door and take them to their reserved table.  They will also answer a variety of questions that the customer may have about Tiki Terrace.  Another major part of this job is answering telephones and checking emails.  The host will call back those that have left a messages and emails and manage the floor chart.  The host position will be trained on an app that manages the seats of the restaurant, so very basic familiarity with an Ipad, Iphone or any IOS based devise will be very helpful. 

This is an excellent job for someone who is in school or is looking for some extra part time hours.  Tiki Terrace will train you so there is no need to have any pre-requisites of any kind.

We will require some weekend work and a weekday or two.  We are able to work with your schedule to some extent, but you must be able to work some Fridays and Saturdays  along with a weekday evening or two, per week.

The Role…

Seeking a driven results-oriented Foodservice / Away from Home Channel expert with an excellent track record of growth and managing key customers. Experience and expertise with the Beverage, Nutrition and Snack Categories are preferred. Expertise should include key customer management and sales team or broker sales team management. Experience managing Vistar, PFG, Sysco, U.S. Foods, Gordons, Reihart and others is helpful. Also, experience driving beverage distribution through beverage distributors in major markets is desired. This role as the National Sales Manager, Foodservice / Away from Home will also require forecasting for your assigned customer responsibilities. A “builders” mentality and a history of meeting and exceeding sales objectives must be demonstrated.

Key Account Management: 60%

Primary contact to key Foodservice and Away from Home customers nationally

Positioning PNC as a Category Leader for Growth, Innovation, Product Attributes and Promotional Support

Developing, Forecasting and Executing sales and promotional plans for Key Accounts to drive profitable sales and growth

Aggressively expanding distribution of SKU priorities to include new product launches in both the Nutrition bar and Beverage Categories

Broker Management: 30%

Manage and work closely with Broker Customer Managers and Leadership to drive sales and exceed distribution goals with all customers nationally

Provide frequent communication and consistent direction of SKU priorities and promo objectives

Collaborate, present and secure customized customer plans that drives sales

Cross Functional Participation: 10%

Broadly represent sales / channel / customers in cross functional projects including:

Strategic planning

New product development

Customer / Channel shopping programs

Actively contribute in the development of a growth company by elevating sales professionalism and creating broader programs that can create meaningful impact in the marketplace

What are we looking for?

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required in any field

Experience:

7+ years of experience working directly with key Foodservice and Away from Home customers

Knowledge and experience in working with a broker and direct sales model

Prior experience in the nutrition category and beverage category a plus

Skills:

Must be willing to travel extensively, 50%

Creative, a desire for continuous improvement

Effective and professional presentation skills,

Frequent and consistent communication skills

Time management / Organizational skills
