Responsibilities and Duties


  • Weigh and record weight of all material entering warehouse.

  • Generate and send settlements to all suppliers.

  • Enter weight, description, and pictures of inbound material into company database.

  • Occasionally communicate with suppliers about inbound shipments.

  • Communicate with accounting regarding supplier payment.

  • Answer supplier concerns as they arise.

  • Ensure correct labels are properly placed on all inbound material.

  • Organize and accurately file paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Plan and load containers.

  • Complete packing list and invoice to customer.

Requirements:


  • College degree preferred

  • Warehouse management experience a plus

  • Be proficient in data entry with minimal errors, and detail-oriented

  • Can work under high time pressure, and keep high work quality under minimum supervision

BIG PICTURE:

LiveGlam is searching for Seasonal Order Fulfillment Associates to assist our Fulfillment team in Los Angeles, CA. We are heading into our busy season and will need this person for around a month. There could be a possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates.

The perfect candidate will be someone who has no problem rolling up his or her sleeves to work hard, go the extra mile and not stopping until the job gets done. This position requires someone that is highly dependable and diligent in picking, packing and shipping customer orders in a time-efficient and accurate way.

The Fulfillment Department at LiveGlam is truly the heart of the company and is the most important factor contributing towards our excellent customer service ratings. Making sure our customers receive exactly what they order and on time is essential so this role is a super important part of our team’s success!

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

Assisting the Shipping Manager as directed in receiving, sorting and storing products

Reading and understanding customer orders

Locating correct merchandise to fulfill orders

Inspecting products for any damage before packing

Picking and packing products for shipment

Posting shipping and weight charges

Keeping warehouse and shipping spaces clean and hazard-free

WHAT YOU HAVE:

Proof of age (must be at least 18 years old)

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (English fluency and Spanish proficiency is okay too)

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Physical dexterity and strength (ability to lift up to 50 pounds)

Ability to stand and/or walk up to 8 hours each day

Some computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Shipping software (specifically ShipStation) are a plus but not required

Inventory experience is also a plus

WHO OVERSEES YOU:

The Order Fulfillment Associate reports directly to the Shipping Manager with whom he or she will have regular and significant interaction related to fulfillment procedures, inventory, order batching, shipping schedules, shipping accuracy, and more.

WHO YOU OVERSEE:

Order Fulfillment Associates do not oversee anyone.

In USC district less than 1 mile from school and shops!

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday 830am- 530PM with an occasional Saturday.

We are a family-owned retail nursery looking for someone who enjoys working around plants in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor office environment. You will be working outdoors with other staff to receive and correctly label incoming merchandise as well as indoors doing computer and clerical work.

Primary responsibilities will be to:

• Label small potted plants as they are received

• Enter and process purchase orders and returns

• Maintain database with accurate items, prices and barcodes

• Ensure incoming merchandise is properly priced and labelled

You must be computer literate, able to master new software, and have a good working knowledge of basic computer functions and MS office. Qualifications


  • Minimum 4 years as a department manager.

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.

Safety



  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in Shipping and Receiving Department.

  • Inspect all equipment used in the Department prior to use. Equipment includes Forklift, Scissor Lift, Pallet Wrapper, and Box Truck. Inspection checklists must be completed on a daily basis and submitted to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from our Box Truck. Any unsafe activity should be ceased immediately, reported to the Plant Manager or Human Resources immediately.

  • Safely operate forklift to transport materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse to their proper locations.


 


Receiving/Shipping



  • Ensure our Company receives only what we have paid for, and/or authorized based on what is listed on Purchase Orders, Packing Lists, and Returned Good Authorizations.

  • Follow our Returned Goods Authorization process as defined by our Returned Goods Authorization Policy.

  • Communicate with the Plant Manager to determine what types of materials have been ordered, the quantity we are expecting, and the expected date of arrival.

  • Prepare warehouse in advance for all incoming materials. Create space in the shelves of our inventory to safely store the new materials in an organized fashion.

  • Inspect every inbound shipment, and note any damages or discrepancies on the Bill of Lading before signing. All damages or discrepancies should be reported to our Plant Manager and Purchasing Department for immediate correction.

  • After the shipment has been received, verify that the quantity in the packaging matches the quantities listed on the packaging and Purchase Order. Discrepancies should be reported to our Plant Manager and Purchasing Department for immediate correction.   

  • Maintain control of physical inventory counts within the warehouse.

  • Assist any department as needed or directed by Management.


 


Inventory



  • Clearly label all materials and products within our warehouse inventory using our color coding and labeling system.

  • Quality inspect, count, and label all finished goods after they are produced by our Booth Department. Move products to their specified locations after they have been labeled, and recorded for inventory.

  • Organize fabrics by dye lot.

  • Conduct accurate and comprehensive Cycle Counts as directed by Plant Manager.

  • Report all updated inventory counts to Plant Manager.


  • Responsible for any and all other duties assigned to them by management.

 


Skill Requirements:

·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Job Description


 Operate lift trucks or hand truck to convey , move or hoist materials to proper departments 


Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortage and correspond with shipping Manager to notify the shipper and rectify damages and shortages


Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production / storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base


Maintain  inventory of shipping materials and supplies


Inspect labels and barcodes


Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of -area travel may occur on occasion


 


Skills and Experience Required:


One year of factory related experience in Shipping and receiviing


A valid driver's license and a good driving record


Able to lift 50 lbs routinely

An equipment company is offering an immediate, full-time position for a Shipping – Receiving Clerk to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Job Duties:


·       Handle inbound and outbound shipping throughout the day


·       UPS/FedEx and some LTL outbound


·       Locate parts and put away stock


·       Lift up to 50 pounds


·       Operate a forklift


·       Organize work area and keep it clean and maintained


·       Assist with some building maintenance from time to time

We are seeking a bright and responsible individual for our Shipping and Recieving Clerk position. This role will report to our Warehouse Manager and work in the Shipping department. High attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills is essential for effective communication and success in this position.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Handling all shipping and receiving tasks, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders.

  • Reading customer orders and shipping orders, and prepared orders using SAP, FedEx and UPS shipping software

  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.

  • Maintaining daily inventory record and generating daily inventory reports.

  • Ensuring warehouse is accessible, clean and safe.

  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

  • Ability to handle weight of 50lb +

  • Properly use forklift and shrink-wrap machine while preparing orders.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications:



  • High School Degree or higher required

  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or shipping roles

  • Excellent with numbers, Excel and writing skills

  • Knowledge of SAP software and the use of forklifts are a plus

  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills and the ability to multitask

  • Cooperative team player with a positive attitude a must
