Business Development Manager – Residential Design Products
Location: Greater Hayward, CA Area.
Our client is creating an innovative approach to an industry stuck in the 1950’s with their startup. Their production of residential design products leverages technology to bring best value to home owners and residential contractors.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing relationships with residential and some commercial contractors, design centers, interior designers, architects and other channels. Generating new business is job one for this role. There will be travel within a 120 mile radius of the home office.
The Business Development Manager develops and executes sales tactics and plans and initiates proposals. You will be detail-oriented, have excellent people skills, and a solid knowledge of residential construction with contracts within this industry. You will be capable of developing profitable relationships with other organizations and manage the firm’s pipeline and proposal process with home owners, residential and light commercial contractors.
This position will report to the co-founders of the company.
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in spirit, want to be the first in this position and be from one of these professions with a minimum of 5 years’ experience:

We are looking to hire a full-stack Product Designer to lead the work on our exciting new consumer product, with a strong focus on mobile and eCommerce. The ideal candidate is both an artist and a problem solver, a customer-first leader who is passionate about delivering zero-to-one experiences and accelerating growth.
This is a full-time, in-house opportunity (no freelancers, no agencies). Ideally based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but remote candidates could work out if they have significant experience working remotely and can be 100% available in PST hours.
The core responsibilities of the role includes full ownership of the end-to-end product design process: strategy, vision, creative and hands-on design execution.
Requirements and qualifications:
· This is a hands-on role - please share a link to your updated design portfolio on dribble/behance/cloud. We won’t be able to proceed without it…
· At least 6 years of experience in all phases of the design process (full stack product design) including: user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.
· Experience with the entire user journey including: awareness, onboarding, search, discovery, accounts, personalization, retention, etc.
· Must have - excellent UX skills – analysis, architecture, interaction, usability, interface, prototyping.
· Must have – strong track record working on mobile (native and web) and eCommerce products.
· Must have - ‘zero to one’ experience: from drawing on a napkin to launch and scale.
· Required DNA - Focused on customer needs and driven by data (both qualitative and quantitative).
· Able to work well with an agile team of product managers, software engineers, project managers and data scientists.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills (you will be required to strategize and share with others).
· Creative problem-solving skills.
· BA in design-related fields is a plus.
Long Term Position
Pay Range: $34-40/hour
This position will be responsible for partaking in both design as well as production related functions. Partners closely with production manager and creative team to produce mechanical files, with all specifications needed for print and digital and deliver on time and on budget. Responsible for finishing and providing layouts and final mechanical files for print, environmental and interactive (web and digital).
