Responsible for accurate and timely cutting of printed material. Position requires the ability to set up, program and maintain all flatbed cutting systems. Can read and understand production ticket and questions any conflicting or potentially incorrect information. Must have the ability to produce work within estimated time frames for each order. Brief Description of Job:


To operate Ashe and/or Flexor machine to quality check and finish a number of pack formats in accordance to the customer’s specific specifications. You will be expected to offer general support to your department with workloads i.e. staying later when busy and being flexible in your approach. Ensure that rewind machinery and their surrounding areas are clean and tidy, and regularly maintained in accordance with maintenance schedules. Pass on any knowledge that you feel may benefit the department or Catapult Print & Packaging as a whole. Regular Liaison with Production Manager outline work schedules to be followed and any other duties that will need to be performed.


 


Job Responsibilities:


The following duties, responsibilities, knowledge, skills and abilities are the minimum requirements for a Rewind Operator.


 


Day-to-day Running of the Rewind & Inspection Systems


·        Ability to identify & understand finishing spec’s on work.


·        Locate correct printed reels/ product for inspection relating to individual job cards for inspection along with Print Proofs, Cores, Packaging and Labeling.


·        Thread web through machine following correct route, set blades for slitting web to finishing spec.


·        Setting of clock / counter for final reel size.


·        Setting of machine tensions for specific materials using controls.


·        Using ATV Camera, visual checks & print fault flags to remove waste & poor-quality print


·        Carry out Inspection, Slitting, and rewind of reels to final finishing spec as per job cards correctly identifying core size required.


·        Monitor quality and consistency of product, identifying and removing all non-conforming products, set up and in-process waste, placing into provided bins.


·        Packaging of finished reels for dispatch, including marking all boxes with ID Codes, Number of Rolls and reel size to specification detailed on the job ticket.


·        Responsible for correct packing for transportation, minimizing possibility of damage during transport.


  • To follow and keep abreast of all quality control procedures  and Catapult safety procedures at all times.

 


 


Stock/Dispatch/Warehouse cover


·        In the absence of the Stock/ Dispatch Operator unload and sign for deliveries.


·        Ensure that the presses have the necessary raw material from stock at the press to complete 1 shift of production at any time.


·        Ensure all consignments leave on schedule. This involves being familiar with dispatch and dispatch systems.

  • Set up and operation of on-demand printing machinery including, but not limited to: DTG printers, sublimation printers, pre-treatment machines and different types of heat presses.

Operates screen print presses to print decorative designs on garments by performing the following duties.

· Reads work order to determine proper logo and location of screen print.


· Determines from orders type and color of designs to print.

Set-up, operate and maintain machine that automatically folds, slits, perforates and/or scores printed sheets in preparation for binding or shipment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review job specifications to determine page sequence, type of fold, page size and packing requirements.

  • Pre-set side guide, fold plates, fold rollers, and any slitting blades or perforators required.

  • Load sheets onto feeder and jog sheets into proper positions to determine final settings of units for completion of job.

  • Adjust machine during production run as required for, adherence to all quality and customer requirements.

  • May jog folded signatures or brochures for use in the next operation or for shipment to customer.

  • May operate two or more machines simultaneously.

Position Summary: Responsible for operating the necessary machines during the Folding process. Responsible for all aspects of the process from operation to finished product leaving the department. Relies on pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish goals.


 


Daily Essential Functions:



  • Properly start and shut down folding machines

  • Read, interpret and understand the structure for each project ensuring USPS presort, container and address requirements are met

POSITION SUMMARY


The Press Operator contributes to Bell’Invito’s continued success by promoting the company culture, mission and values. This Job Description identifies the major responsibilities of this position. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


Support


· Work on acquiring proficiency with all available presses.


· Complete jobs with the appropriate waste level of no more than 10% of materials used


· Efficiently work with in the production department to ensure efficient job flow according to the schedule demands.


· Assist in job deviation to ensure sustained work flow.


· Maintain production responsibilities, including but not limited to, organization, equipment functionality, and cleanliness


Team Work


· Lead by example and look to build a positive work environment


· Aid in leading the team to meet all departmental goals


Generic Responsibilities


· Ability to perform responsibilities in a timely and appropriate, well-reasoned manner

Large Medical Group Seeking Printer Operator
$13 Per hour PAID WEEKLY
Monday through Friday 8-5

Job Summary and Duties:


 


Position Purpose
Under supervision this position is responsible for providing quality printing services.



Essential Job Duties
• 1. Performs all tasks necessary for completing assigned printing jobs timely and accurately. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: procedures relative to mixing inks and solutions, calculating paper size needed, and operating printing machinery.
• 2. Assures set-up of printing press for each applicable assigned printing. This includes adjustment of the paper tray, master, receding stacker, ink rollers and moisture rollers.
• 3. Responsible to verify accuracy in printed materials and quantities.
• 4. May set up, operate and adjust inserter to insert and mail out material for customers and patients. Validates inserter and printed quantities match.

Skills:
• Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate Inserting Machines as well as peripheral mailing & finishing equipment such as printers and postage meters. • Operate high speed machines that insert printed matter, such as letters into envelopes. • Inspects the finished product by verifying the correct construction and components to ensure that mailability and quality standards are met. • Able to cross train into other departments outside of the insertion functions. • Strong attention to detail.
