Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler Development (required)

  • 1+ year Infant/Toddler Education Experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of early childhood education and child development

  • Knowledge and experience with emergent curriculum - a plus

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children

Bear book club is an Online Book Debating Club for 1st ~ 7th grade students. 

Learn the joy of reading and boosts critical thinking and creativity through debates! 

Watching youtube and netflix turns into a normal activity during the day and it keeps pushing away from reading books at a critical age. However, it is through reading that children learn about the world - people, places, and events. All these are outside of their personal experience. What is an Online Book Club Teacher 

  We are looking for a passionate teacher for our online book debating club business. Book Club Teacher is a key component to our business that helps students from 1st ~ 7th grade to be actively engaged and distribute equal speaking time during the class. Our Online Book Club Teachers will assure the development of relevant competencies such as critical thinking skills and necessary debating skills throughout the course. Our Online Book Club Teachers will be leading a small class of students from 1st ~ 7th grade grouped by different levels/grades.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or Current college students majoring education

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for implementation of the program set forth by Kimber Hills
Preschool, a ministry of Fremont Community Church, functioning under the direction of the Preschool Director
and KHA Administration. 



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Follow policies established by the Preschool Director, the School Administration, Elder Board and the State Department of

  • Welfare.

  • Maintain a cooperative attitude, accepting the educational philosophy of Kimber Hills Preschool.

  • Attend all meetings of the Preschool staff as required by the Preschool Director including; parent-teacher meetings, devotions, conferences, work-days and in-service seminars.

  • Attend and participate in scheduled activities/events.

  • Read professional materials and attend at least one class, workshop or seminar per year to maintain an understanding of

  • Preschool procedures, students, curriculum and legal requirements.

  • Attend education courses / classes to qualify for state licensing requirements.

  • Record significant incidents or experiences observed with the children and report them to the Preschool Director, parents

  • or other authorities as necessary.

  • Assist the Preschool Director with the organization of materials and supplies, inventory equipment and supplies and keep

  • equipment in good repair.

  • Fulfill other duties as requested by the Preschool Director.

  • CHILDREN’S PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and initiative in the performance of responsibilities.

  • Be familiar with the school and program.

  • Cooperate with other Preschool Teachers to keep a happy, wholesome and loving harmonious atmosphere.

  • Give full attention to each area and be responsible for the safety and physical well being of the children, never leaving them unsupervised.

  • Assume a personal responsibility for the Christian nurture of each child under your care.

  • Relate easily and impartially to all children, working toward development of each child’s self-concept and individual

  • strengths.

  • Help sustain a warm, positive, Christian atmosphere and learning environment.

  • Take children to the restroom and change their clothes when necessary.

  • Guide children to wash their hands and face during the day, especially after art activities, before lunch, after toileting, and

  • before parents arrive daily.

  • Assist with the serving of the daily snack and sit at the lunch table with the assigned group of children to assist them as

  • necessary.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:



  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and attend a bible believing fellowship;

  • Enjoy working with children and be able to take a supportive role with the director;

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Demonstrate initiative and follow through;

  • Ability to maintain confidentially;

  • Ability to take responsibility and directives while being dependable and flexible;

  • Ability to handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with supervising young children.



MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:



  • 18 years of age.

  • All license forms documentation, including but not limited to:

  • Child Abuse Index Check

  • Minimum of 6 semester units and continuing education enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses and/or minimum of 12 semester units in the areas of:

  • Child Development

  • Curriculum



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Preschool Teacher must be able to regularly perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
1. Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment
2. Lift and/or move 20 lbs. from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary
3. Stand and walk short distances frequently on a daily basis
4. Regularly sit, bend, twist, push and pull
5. Crouch to a child’s height, maintain eye contact at the child’s level, sit on the floor and stand tall enough to reach children
on the highest piece of equipment

After meeting for several years at Mission High School, the church purchased its current facility from Kimber Farms and started meeting here in 1979. Palm Academy in Fremont CA, is conducting interviews for Children's English and Math Instructors for our JEI Instruction Center at Palm Academy.  This is a part time position teaching elementary children in math, reading and writing in small sessions, in small group settings using the JEI program.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Employ a variety of educational techniques using JEI Teaching Methods

  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate and individualized development plan for each child; taking care to include parents in the planning process.

  • Work and communicate with parents to increase their understanding of child development, including but not limited to developmental stages, developmental appropriateness, early literacy, and parental involvement.

  • Collaborate with other educators/teachers on pertinent information, updates and recommendation continuously

  • Observe and monitor each child to ensure their social competencies, interactions and cleanliness throughout each day

Requirements:



  • Must be fluent in English

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Must enjoy working with children

  • Must have elementary instruction background/experience

  • Highly motivated and energetic

  • Must be able to commit long term

  • Must be very organized, detailed oriented, and responsible

  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
