Job Description

The first 5 years of a child’s life are extremely important in placing children on a path to be a success!  Success spans well beyond academic knowledge and skills! At Stepping Stones School, when we say we want to nurture the WHOLE child, we believe this includes nurturing a child physically, academically, socially, emotionally AND spiritually. This is not a “religious” school. We are a Christ-centered school with families of any or no religious background, where teachers talk about God openly and his unconditional love for us. When our students leave, we want them to know that Jesus loves them—no matter what. Jesus is included naturally throughout our school day. There is structured learning time as well as child guided playtime where teachers continue to teach learning objectives through play.

We Are Looking for Teachers Who:

  • Know Jesus and understand what it means to be a Christ-Follower

  • Radiate joy and positivity

  • Appreciate working collaboratively as a team and commit to being drama free

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully

  • Comfortably lead children in an age appropriate learning experience

  • Share and receive ideas

  • Organize and prepare lesson plans and learning environment

  • Have a growth mindset

  • Are dedicated and passionate about working in early childhood education

If you love children and also want to be able to talk about Jesus and His love, you may have just found the right teaching environment that you desire!

What We are Looking For:

  • MUST be a fully qualified teacher with 12 ECE units (or units in progress)

  • Clear background check with no criminal history/felonies

  • AA or BA in education a plus, but not required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to young children, teacher and parents

Bonus Experience

  • Health and Safety Training

  • Current Certificate in CPR and First Aid

  • Bilingual

  • Training in the Arts- music, visual art, performance arts
