Baker & Commons opened in May 2018 and is a favorite in the neighborhood.  We are serving high quality food in a fast paced environment.  There are opportunities to cross train as a barista, cashier and line cook so that everyone can help out when needed.

We are preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner from behind our front counter. We make everything from scratch and our baked goods are made in house.

Our breakfast menu includes poached eggs, avocado toast, waffles and other breakfast specials.  We serve sandwiches, salads and soup at lunch and some hot entrees for dinner.

  • The Catering Coordinator is responsible for working as a member of a cohesive operations team supporting the Director of Catering and sales team, as well as the General Manager to enable perfect event execution. This individual functions as a support to the Event Manager and Captains, as well as sometimes acting as a junior sales specialist when business levels are high.   • Ensuring all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and fully detailed prior to event/deadlines.

  • Review event floorplans, day of supervisor packets, pack lists and rental equipment to ensure all information is current and correctly distributed.

  • Responsible for communicating SRCG procedures, standards and expectations to all event staff when on-site. They will be responsible for communicating all pertinent event information to the culinary and operations teams and for completing the day of supervisor packet for use on site.

  • Assisting in the setup and execution of events

  • Ensure that event rentals have scheduled deliveries and pickups that are convenient for specialist or venue manage

  • Maintain calendar of events through Outlook and attend all necessary event meetings and conference calls.

  • Communicate with sales, culinary and booking staff, as needed, to ensure understanding of menus and client need

  • Responsible for the collection and submission of all payments and deposits as it relates to contracted events. They are responsible for ensuring that these payments are on time and responsible for reviewing the weekly AR report and correcting any discrepancies and/or collecting any late payments.

  • Responsible for nimble trouble shooting and determining the best judgment calls when a quick decision needs to be made.

  • Managing a staff, holding them accountable for their work and disciplining as needed.

  • Follow up with photographers post event to request event photos

  • Act as first point of contact for general leads and gather as much detailed information as needed

  • Keep accurate log of event inquiries and distribute to specialists as needed

  • Process event closeouts on following day of each event

  • Send out nightly event reminders to internal staff
