  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in sales preferably in hospitality/service/event/catering industry, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Strong sales skills required including experience with prospecting, cold calls, and negotiating skills.

  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office and CRM

Position: Event Sales Manager

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing event sales revenues to include banquet food, banquet beverage, facility rental and net amounts received for equipment rental. This is accomplished through networking, solicitations, grass roots sales and attaining or exceeding the annual budget revenue goals and booking goals for catering.

Job Description:

  • Under the direction of management, increase event sales revenue by following Lucky Strike's Sales Standards & Expectations, including: executing outbound sales call requirements to drive awareness, implementing lead generating strategies; identifying and pursuing target markets by monitoring venue and community demographics.

  • Manage event administrative requirements and logistics by developing and adhering to any contracts and confirmed agreements. Work with internal departments and outside vendors and following up to ensure that corporate standards of quality and service are met.

  • Maintaining a close working relationship with each event host. Including, meeting and greeting the event organizer, following up with the event hosts to ensure satisfaction and maximize referrals.

  • Execute the specific marketing plan approved by the Corporate Marketing Team, including prospecting events and open houses

MIT Open Learning is looking for an Podcast & Webinar Producer to join the new MIT Horizon initiative. This is a unique opportunity to build the podcast and webinar content from the ground up. You will be MIT Horizon’s first full-time Podcast & Webinar Producer and will directly forge and manage relationships with prominent subject matter experts, including MIT faculty and senior executives at large technology companies. You’ll be responsible for conceptualizing and project managing all podcasts and webinars with our experts to ensure dynamic content for our audience. You will also produce, record and edit the content yourself, ensuring consistent style, voice and quality to the MIT Horizon brand. What will you be responsible for? * Project manage all aspects of weekly webinars and podcasts Manage lots of little details for each recording, including speaker management, scheduling, logistics, and more. Conduct introductory calls with VIP speakers to share background and decide on approach to content. Write copy for recordings, including moderator scripts, interview questions, registration page, marketing promotion and more. Build a balanced event and podcast calendar, addressing a range of emerging technology topics. Work closely with content team on topic development. *Build and maintain speaker pipeline Identify thought-leaders in emerging technology topics and run effective outreach program to get bookings. Conduct regular follow-up to ensure a healthy pipeline and receive materials from speakers when they’re needed. * Basic audio and video production and post-production Maintain and set up basic recording equipment (microphone, camera, virtual event platform). Run recordings live and assist host and guest with basic tech needs. Post-production of audio and video recordings – primarily, cutting out irrelevant banter, adding simple visuals, and including intro/outro. Qualifications & Skills Minimum Required Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Experience: 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
