We are looking for part time piano, voice and guitar instructors to teach in person lessons and virtual lessons at Willow Glen Music School. Ideal candidates have experience working with children, are patient and can make music fun by incorporating games and activities into the lesson.

We teach five core areas at School of Rock - keys, vocals, guitar, bass and drums. Many of our instructors have broader musical talent as well which we do our best to engage.
● Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
● Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs
● Follow the core School of Rock Curriculum through our Method Books and engage students through our online enrichment materials
● Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
● Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school
● Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
● Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school
● 4 + years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
● Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design

Sharing the Love of Music is searching for an enthusiastic and dependable teacher to join the team. The position is part time and can be based upon your availability Mon-Fri as we do not operate on weekends. Please note that lessons take place in student's homes but locations can be grouped to minimize your drive time and we provide a monthly fuel stipend.
We already have students signed up so you will have students the very first day you teach for us. All administrative duties (tuition collection, scheduling, phone calls, advertising, etc) are handled by me so that teachers are free to focus on teaching lessons. It is my goal to provide plenty of support to teachers to help them maximize their instruction time with students. We have an online database with hundreds of studio licensed titles, an iPad and data plan so you can access this database as well as educational apps, studio lesson notes and calendar through My Music Staff.
