Presently searching for a Multi-Sate licensed Pharmacist who holds licensees in the 18 states that require
license for non-resident Pharmacist-In-Charge. Florida license as a Pharmacist is expected.


The ideal candidate should have experience in Mail Order, Retail, and experience as a Pharmacist-In-Charge.

Ambulatory care pharmacists interact with patients in an outpatient clinic setting for the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.


Pharmacists in ambulatory care clinics arranged collaborative practice agreements with the physicians with whom they work. The pharmacists are typically responsible for adjusting medication doses (i.e., warfarin doses in an anticoagulation clinic), counseling patients on side effects of medications and the importance of medication adherence, and making therapy recommendations to prescribing physicians.


Requirements


 


AMBULATORY DEPARTMENT PHARMACIST: A minimum of one-year pharmacy experience in Infectious Disease within the last 3 years. Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency is required. Board certification is preferred. Chief, Department of Pharmacy has option to waive requirements

  • Dispense or administer medication to patients

  • Preparation of pre-dispensed medication for administration by the Medication Nurse and for take-homes

  • Maintain accurate patient dosing records as well as daily reconciliation and accountability of medication inventory as dispensed from total stock on hand

  • Make monthly inspections of all drug storage areas 

  • Prepare and maintain a medical supply inventory

  • Receive methadone from manufacturer utilizing accountability protocol with accurate completion of 222 Form according to DEA regulations upon medication receipt prior to carrier departure

  • Ensure that all stocking and restocking of medication is completed

  • Hold a basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction and keep updated on current drug abuse and treatment information specifically current trends in Opioid maintenance treatment

  • Ensure the dispensing and administration of all drugs are adequately performed and documented in accordance with all federal, state and local regulatory agency requirements

  • Assure and maintain the protection of patient confidentiality

  • Other additional duties assigned by management


 



  • Must hold a CPR & First Aid Certification

The Staff Pharmacist at Curaleaf UT is responsible for providing an outstanding patient experience while maximizing revenue goals, leading the management & development of the dispensary staff, and ensuring compliance with all inventory, security, and system protocols in the absence of The Dispensary Manager.


The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for forecasting inventory levels, ordering & receiving the product, and maintaining accurate systems for regulatory reporting and sales analysis. Essential functions: 



  • Drive retail sales and patient retention

  • Maintain all store operational standards

  • Oversee inventory standards are maintained on site.

  • Ensure cash receipts are reconciled

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws

  • Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients and employees

Patient Care:

Manage dispensary employees:

  • Provide ongoing education and outreach programs relating to medical cannabis for the benefit of member patients

  • Measure customer satisfaction through surveys and interviews

  • Responsible for the preparation of content for all educational materials and presentations


Cannabis knowledge:



  • Develop a deep understanding of cannabis forms, dosing, drug interactions, and side effects.

  • Understand the efficacy of variance strains, potencies, and methods of delivery


Qualifications:



  • Certified Registered Utah State Pharmacist

  • Pharmacy experience required

  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry necessary
