The Exercise Coach® brand was built upon the belief that staying strong and healthy shouldn’t feel like a hassle. We understand that everyone knows they should exercise, and everyone wants to be fit and healthy. However, busy schedules and physical limitations and injuries can make that challenging.

The TEC founder spent years perfecting a workout process that is safe and helps people get the results that matter most to them with just one to three, 20-minute workouts per week. We call our method the Smart 20 Fitness Method™.

Smart 20™ workouts are coach-led 100% of the time and are powered by our very own proprietary strength and interval technology. Many athletes, physicians and researchers have stated that Smart 20 workouts really are the pinnacle application of exercise science.

We’d love for you to consider joining our team! Check out our web site www.exercisecoach.com.

Job Description and Details:

Unlike the conventional health-club setting, The Exercise Coach® is very professional and distraction-free; offering clients what would be more accurately described as clinical exercise, rather than the latest fitness craze in a crowded, intimidating environment.

The Exercise Coach® is dedicated to helping women and men of all ages achieve their health and fitness goals through customized physical conditioning programs and the use of our proprietary technology.

We are currently looking for part-time and full-time personal trainers who can work a combination of mornings and evenings, and an occasional Saturday morning.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Develop Comprehensive Health & Fitness Programs for Clients: You'll receive coaching and training on our fitness system, and you'll have to incorporate knowledge into safe, effective exercise programming.

· Lead Follow Up and Conduct Consultations: Responding to leads in an effective and timely manner is a very important aspect of any successful personal training studio. You will be required to follow up with leads by phone, email, and/or text and schedule them for a free fitness consultation and trial session. This process is well-defined and you will be trained on how to successfully handle this task. However, you must be comfortable on the phone and presenting pricing information to prospective clients, in addition to proposing renewal opportunities to existing clients.

· Tracking Client Progress: In order to ensure a client's success in our programs, you'll need to track weekly progress, current successes and challenges, review client nutrition and exercise log worksheets and more on a weekly basis. It will be your job to hold a client accountable to his/her health and fitness program to ensure the best possible results.

· Perform Fitness Evaluations: Ideally, you'll have some fitness assessment skills and can conduct body composition evaluations, bodyweight and girth measurements, blood pressure and heart rate, and various physical performance tests. You do not need previous experience, but if you do, that's a bonus. You will be trained on how to use our proprietary technology and other resources to perform required tests, and also how to interpret and present the results to clients.

· Coach clients through program duration: You'll be responsible for weekly exercise sessions and keeping detailed notes on the clients you're working with. If a client is having challenges throughout his/her program, you'll coach and motivate the client and make appropriate changes to ensure consistent progress.

· Demonstrate Proper Exercise Instruction: We need you to be able to provide proper instruction during a client training session. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.) and be able to provide appropriate exercises for client's needs, goals and limitations, and demonstrate, if necessary.

· Provide Ongoing Health and Fitness Education: It is your job as a fitness coach to provide your clients with health and fitness education on various topics that will empower them to lead healthy lives forever. You'll be provided with educational tools and resources, will be expected to study them and speak about them with your clients.

  • Health and Fitness Education: A college degree in Exercise Science or a health-related field is preferred, but not required. However, fundamental knowledge of exercise science and human biology is essential. Job Description

We are hiring for 2 locations for Personal Training and Performance Coaches for the Parisi Speed School.

I am looking for 1-2 individuals to join our team of trainers. We are not your typical gym, studio, or other fitness facility.Experience as a Personal Trainer and with Group Personal Training or Group Fitness is a plus.

We have three very simple goals:

1. Make a difference in the lives of our clients.

2. Never compromise our integrity and honesty.

3. Make a lot of money.

Don't take those statements lightly, because if you think this simply a job offering in the sea of offerings, and you're hoping to go fishing for anything you can catch, you shouldn't bother... I am looking for a very specific type of person. This is a high-end personal training business, in our own private facility, and we charge high prices. I would never simply let anyone join my team... because my reputation and success is on the line... as well as the other staff-members.

What type of person should apply?

1. Hungry

If you're the type of person that just counts down the time each day to when you can leave work... move on to another offer. If you're the type of person that wants to do great things in life, and is willing to dedicate EVERYTHING to that cause... then keep reading.

2. Humble

Along the lines with the previous requirement. If you have entitlement issues and think you deserve a certain amount of pay but aren't willing to prove your true value... move on to another offer. If you understand that in the real world you need to work your butt off to get what you want in life... keep reading.

3. Intelligent

Being certified is a nice bonus but just because you're certified does not mean you're qualified for this position. Just because you took one course and passed one exam, does not mean you have any concept of how to help people. But are you coach-able? Are you a research-oriented person? Are you going to spend time every day to make yourself a better provider? Are you someone who gets things done, or are you someone who says "I don't know how?"

4. Career-minded

If you have any conflicts, anything else going in your life, don't bother applying, I won't hire you.Sorry, it's not to say that you aren't qualified as a person, but right now I am only seeking someone who will have 100% full commitment to this job exclusively, and nothing else.If you will not see this as your path to a great life, just don't bother... I will notice it as soon as we meet.

Final Details

If you haven't ruled yourself out yet and made it this far then please understand that I am not a hard person to work with.I am quite motivational, nice, fair, strict when needed, but most importantly, I care about you.I will do everything I can to help you succeed as long as you are willing to do it for yourself.Simply put, if you make a ton of money, that means I am also, so our interests are aligned.Where else can you find an employer like this?

But the reason I had to write this offering the way I did, is because I don't have time to waste on someone who doesn't really know what they want out of life.

How to Apply

Send a cover letter and resume and we will send you a pre-interview questionnaire. Take your time completing it, there are no right or wrong answers, and certainly nothing wrong with you... but if you don't get an invitation from me to interview, then you simply did not meet some sort of specific I was looking for.

If hired, you must complete a 6 week mentorship program. All employees start as part-time. Your productivity, drive and ability will determine how many sessions/hours we add. Benefits are available if you convert to full-time.

Dear Prospective Exercise Specialist,

First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit this site! It’s our intention with this letter to attract exactly the right person we are looking for – and that maybe you – so we can fill this fun and rewarding position and take this page down immediately. So, let me tell you a little about our company and the job.

My name is Jeff Tomaszewski, and I am the President of an organization called MaxStrength Fitness. We opened our first facility in Westlake, Ohio in May of 2007 and our second facility in Willoughby, Ohio in May of 2017 and we have been transforming lives for our clients ever since!

We are continually growing and always looking for the next great personal trainer to join our TEAM!
Our business is dedicated to helping men and women achieve their health and fitness goals in only minutes a week!
MaxStrength Fitness is a private one-on-one personal training facility providing strength training both in studio and virtually along with nutritional consulting, serving hundreds of exclusive clients throughout the greater Cleveland area.

MaxStrength Fitness is a one-on-one, clinically controlled exercise environment, devoid of the typical gym distractions, which provides high-intensity low force resistance training, nutritional consulting as well as Post-rehabilitation training. We know that our biggest assets are our Team, our systems and our knowledge. We’re in business to help out clients cut through the noise in the fitness industry and help them achieve optimal health.

We’re in the life transformation business.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized, passionate, personable, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our Team of elite Exercise Specialists and help transform our client's health and fitness in only two-twenty-minute sessions a week. This position is a part-time hourly position based on experience. (Note: this could lead to a full-time position as we grow if you desire). The position will begin with 20-25 hours a week to start but has the potential to become full time with benefits very soon if desired!

Compensation

Attitude

*A “Stewardship Mentality”: You will be helping nurture the growth of our clientele. Understanding those people and making sure they are satisfied begins with being empathic to their needs. We’ll teach you the basics of what to say and do, but we can’t teach you how to have a great attitude and a strong desire to help people. This is where you will OWN our core value of OVER DELIVER!

*Desire to learn and grow: We’re very serious about this! We want a person who is motivated to get better every day and who isn’t shy about suggesting ideas on how we can improve the business. We do not want a robot that simply follows a checklist. We want someone who learns and grows with our company. However, we do follow a protocol with regard to our training systems. These are systems that are tried and proven and deliver results to our clients in a fraction of the time they would spend with traditional training. Therefore, you must learn our protocol and implement it. If you get bored by learning and mastering techniques, then please DO NOT apply!

* Organized and Attentive to Detail: This is a must! You will need to be attentive to even the smallest of details to ensure we’re meeting our quality standards.

This Position Is NOT For You If... *You like to "mix it" up every workout with clients to keep their interest (We believe in non-variation for a very specific reason, which you will learn)

*You don't LOVE helping people transform their lives through health and fitness (We are LIFE TRANSFORMERS and take tremendous pride in helping our clients transform their lives)

*You are a lone wolf and prefer to work alone (We are a TEAM and help each other out when the unexpected happens)

*You want to exclusively train athletes (We primarily train busy, affluent, high performers who truly value their health and fitness)

*You prefer "functional training" (We utilize a high-intensity, low force protocol that is proven to get results in only twenty minutes twice a week)

*You like to wear a sweat suit to train clients in (We are professional, so we dress like it-shirt and tie for guys and blouse/business attire for gals)

*You don't want to be part of greater Cleveland's most exclusive personal training facility (We have a reputation of being professional, caring, attention to detail and a bit obsessive about getting results)

*You don't like to learn and master your craft (We take great pride in continuing to ask the question: "How can be more efficient and effective in our training while ensuring safety at all times?")

*You are not open minded (We will ask you to take most of what you have been led to believe in the fitness industry and reevaluate it. We do the OPPOSITE of traditional training and you will be entrenched in our training philosophy and business systems)

*You don't value personal responsibility and accountability (This is one of our Core Values and we live by it and we will ask you to as well)

*You don't like to go above and beyond and WOW clients by over delivering (OVER DELIVER is another one of our Core Values and we LOVE to surprise our clients by delivering a service and expertise they would never expect from a personal training facility or any other business for that matter!)

As you can see this position is NOT just for anyone! If what you have read this far, and this has peaked your interest then please continue. If not, that is perfectly ok, as we are not a great fit for everyone and in that case, I wish you the best of luck!

How to Apply

We’re looking to fill this position very soon. So, if this job sounds good to you, follow these instructions precisely. Failure to follow these instructions will result in your resume going in the circular file. This is your first test, okay?

Here’s what I want from you:

1. Send a resume that includes your education, ALL prior work experience (yes, we even want to know if you mowed lawns when you were 14), and any skills you have. It should be no longer than 2 pages.

2. In a second document, list three references with phone numbers and what your relationship is with the references (i.e. – previous employer, college professor, etc). I will be calling these people, as I believe past performance is an indicator of future performance.

3. In a third document, I want YOU to tell me what you love to do and what you are great at.

So . . .

• If you connect with people easily, tell me how.
• If you are a post rehab specialist, show me.
• If you have a burning desire to help people change, I want to hear about it.
• If you love customer care and dream about making customers happy at night, let me know.
• If you have a passion and aptitude for anatomy and physiology, demonstrate it.
• If you are an exceptional people person, prove it.
• If you are the world’s best team player, entice me.
I think you get the point – sell me on your passion and your skills.

Submit the three documents or give us a call at 440-835-9090 to apply.

Next Steps

If you followed the instructions properly, you will hear from us within 5 business days. If we feel you may be a good fit for the position, we’ll call or email you to set up a personal interview. If we feel you may not be a fit right now, we will contact you and let you know and to thank you for your time.

The sooner we get your application, the better. We’re going to hire the person we believe is the best fit to our Team. The position will be gone when we find that person, even if that’s the first application we see. We believe in taking action quickly. So, get your application in as soon as possible! I look forward to reviewing it and hopefully meeting you personally.

Again, thank you very much for your interest.

Jeff Tomaszewski
CEO and Chief Life Transformer
MaxStrength Fitness

P.S. – Even though we wear a shirt and tie as part of our business attire (we are professional like that) we are not a ‘suit-and-tie’ corporate type of environment. We are an entrepreneurial small business. We move quickly to capitalize on opportunities. We’re not a company with positions where just showing up is enough. We want nothing more than to find a person who takes real interest in doing good work and contributing to the growth of the business and having a blast in the process. With all that said, enthusiasm and a positive attitude go long way in my book. As long as you have the skills we mentioned and a great attitude, you’re definitely a candidate!

P.P.S. Email the three documents to jeff@maxstrengthfitness.com and brian@maxstrengthfitness.com with the subject line: Exercise Specialist Submission (Your Last Name) and we will be in contact shortly!
