 We are Super Sports Stars, the premier children’s sports organization in the nation. We are seeking FUN, energetic, early-childhood teachers and coaches to join our Soccer and/or Multi-Sports program! All training and equipment provided.

SOCCER STARS incorporates a fun, educational curriculum that teaches soccer fundamentals to all skill levels.

AMAZING ATHLETES is the premier, sports-based enrichment and P.E program in the country and teaches nutrition, muscle identification 10+ sport activities, including motor development skills.

Coaches will be provided with necessary Personal Protective Equipment and Training to safely run classes with COVID-19 restrictions put in place.

Schedule:

We are seeking a weekend coach to be available to teach sports classes for our weekday afternoon sessions (2-6pm) *morning (9-12pm) and weekend options also available. Classes range from 30-45 minutes (plus 15 minutes setup/breakdown.) You will teach the basic fundamentals of 10 different sports following each week's Amazing Athletes or Soccer Stars curricula.

Salary:

Coaches can earn up to $40 per 45min-60min session.

Day-to-day Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Assist/Teach an energetic and motivating class, connect and challenge each child, and help them to accomplish motor development goals and inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured, and fun manner.

  • Provide individual and group attention to children.

  • Show up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared (includes commuting time).

Requirements


  • Able and willing to travel to get to class locations

  • Prior experience working with children preferred. Experience working with Pre-School Age Children (preschool teachers, camp counselor, elementary education substitute teacher, coach, etc.)

  • Background in fitness (any: athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, etc.) preferred.

  • Must be fun, energetic, patient, and attentive

 This is a year-round position, full -time, part-time and on-call available, with varying seasonal, flexible, scheduled work hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Assistant Head Lifeguard

  This position assists the Head Lifeguard in providing direction and oversight to lifeguard staff in enforcing facility regulations, policies and procedures; serves as an escalation point for resident issues and questions; monitors activities in pool areas; may assist the Head Lifeguard in scheduling lifeguard staff; oversees lifeguard staff training, ensuring that all certifications are maintained in current status; prepares and maintains records and reports as required. This is a full-time benefits eligible position.   

 

· Assists in supervision of lifeguards, scheduling, etc. 

· Ensures Foundation policies and safety rules are followed; assists lifeguards as needed in maintaining discipline in pool areas; prepares reports of various types, maintains records as required, etc. 

· Welcomes residents and guests, answers questions about classes, schedules, policies, etc., pertaining to pools. 

· Performs all duties of lifeguard including cleaning of pools, decks, equipment; maintaining chemical balances, etc. 

· Oversees lifeguard staff training, ensuring that certification requirements are maintained, and leads in-service training as required. 

· Other duties as assigned falling within the purview of the Head Lifeguard and/or Director Resident Services.   

 

• Demonstrated excellence in customer service, time and priority management; 

• Demonstrated excellence in team work and collaboration ; 

• Computer literacy in MS Office sufficient to meet record and reporting needs; 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as lifeguard team lead; 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as lifeguard; 

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Education:

The Street Soccer USA Site Manager - San Francisco (“SM”) is responsible for coaching and managing the execution and growth of SSUSA’s sport for social change programming in San Francisco, California.  

 

Street Soccer USA uses the power of soccer to help people of all ages and backgrounds discover their strengths and take positive steps forward in their lives. Our unique curriculum connects soccer skills to life skills, giving our players the tools they need to unlock the promise in themselves. By hosting community-based events, connecting with community partners, and showing up for practices and games, we create the space for our players to cultivate trusting relationships and develop the confidence to succeed.



Coaching:


  • In charge of coaching at designated neighborhood program sites 4-5 days a week, including some weekends and evenings. (50% of the role will be coaching but hours can be flexible depending on program and game times)

Programming & Partnerships & Events:


  • Support in the recruiting, hiring and managing processes of SSUSA Support Coaches

  • Support with new program partner outreach and communication 

  • Focus on developing and overseeing high impact program types - Community Club & Homeless World Cup - setting and achieving engagement and impact metrics

  • Support SSUSA Club Affiliate Partners to optimize impact in the community

  • Support SSUSA SF Street League - available to be onsite one day per weekend while programs are running  to check in with coaches, parents and the community needs.

  • Support with design and delivery of culture-building program events such as SSUSA Street League Competitions & Street Soccer Festival Events to celebrate accomplishment of SSUSA Participants & their families

  • Support with the production and logistics for SSUSA Bay Area Cup, once per year 

Social Services/Monitoring & Evaluation:


  • Support coordination of SSUSA Social Services (Off-the-Field Curriculum, Exposure Outings, Homework Help, Job Skills Training, Parental Engagement, Referrals)

  • Ensure maintenance and documentation of all participant records, including electronic entry into Salesforce Database, ensuring all participant records are complete, accurate and up to date  

Communications:


  • Work with SF PM to submit newsletter stories when requested

  • Submit program highlights and event write-ups to SSUSA Leadership Team for internal and external communications 

  • GED or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience at a non profit or in fundraising, management, public administration, public health, community development preferred.

  • Strong management skills including managing complex, multifaceted programs resulting in measurable successes and growth.

  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups on complex community issues.

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Street Soccer USA’s mission.

  • Meet and Discuss with Head Coaches the teams’ training philosophy.

  • Ability to execute individual fitness program design in a safe and effective manner

  • Understands the importance of maintaining accurate and current client files

  • Dedicated to maintaining personal integrity and personal health and fitness

  • Willingness to uphold Company protocol and policies

  • Attends mandatory and optional staff training classes

  • Promotes and sells personal training programs and services

  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry


 


Job Requirements:



  • Current CPR/AED Certification and basic First Aid knowledge (short grace period is offered)

  • Current Nationally Recognized Personal Trainer Certification

  • All trainers are required to have a NASM certification within 6 months of employment

  • NASM Cooper Institute

  • ACSM NFPT

  • ACE CSCS

  • NPTI NSCA

  • ISSA PTA Global

  • AFAA NESTA
