Primary Responsibilities:



  • Promote and implement the vision of Pastor Parsley in all services provided by the Local Church Office.

  • This leader meets and works with the local church Administrative Team, Elders, Children’s & Youth Pastors, Music Ministry, Staff Pastors, and others to fulfill the mission of the church.

  • Oversees and organizes all major events for the church family, children’s ministry , and youth Ministry, and annual conferences and events.

  • Manages the volunteers for the Ministry including but not limited to greeters, ushers, hostesses, medical personnel, and workers for annual conferences and events.

  • Participate in service planning meetings and event planning meetings.

  • Provides a high level of Christian care and service to the church family in the time of bereavement, funerals, weddings, illness, and other challenges.

  • Serves all segments of the church population including the underprivileged and those with physical challenges.

  • Assist in alter ministry and evangelizing to the church community.

  • Compile spreadsheets, flow charts, database information and statistical information on the progress of all reporting ministries.

  • May make visits to members that are house bound due to illness, elderly, hospitalized, or experiencing loss of a loved one.

  • Coordinate expressions from the Ministry for appreciation , illness, bereavement, and meal efforts.

  • Administer the Lord’s supper during church services and at other opportunities

  • Evangelize the local, state, national, and international audience in church services, Breakthrough crusades. 125 Live, and special events.

  • Nurture and disciple members


Primary Qualifications:



  • Successful candidates will be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a courteous and Christ-like attitude; and agree to adhere to the standards of moral conduct and mission, vision, and values of World Harvest Church.

  • Bachelor degree in Church Administration, Ministry or equivalent preferred.

  • 2-3 years experience in local church ministry or equivalent.

  • Demonstrate a consistent personal character of integrity; maintain a teachable spirit and the ability to work well with others of differing gifts and convictions.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and written for the purpose of public interaction; the ability to lead, counsel and teach the Word of God effectively.

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with a good driving record and be insurable.

  • The ability to pass and clear a thorough background check.

Needed:


Army Reserve: a part-time Chaplain for a US Army Reserve Battalion consisting of approximately 550 Soldiers in the near to local area.


Chaplain Candidate: if you are a seminarian we have internship positions available to gain valuable experience while serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserve, being mentored by a Reserve Battalion Chaplain.


Active Duty: Full Time Chaplain serving an Active Duty Battalion anywhere in the world. This is a unique calling following in the footsteps of some great missionaries.


 


Duties:


A chaplain acts as an adviser to the military commander and as professional staff on matters of religion, ethics, morals, and morale. They Perform and provides direct, comprehensive pastoral ministry to include: counseling, religious ministrations, and worship services in garrison and field training environments. A chaplain provides pastoral care to Soldier's families, to include home and hospital visitation. Conducts memorial and funeral services. Ensures the free exercise of religion to uphold the 1st Amendment rights of Soldiers in compliance with US Code Title X. Provides Suicide Prevention and PTSD training. Mentors the Battalion unit ministry team. Fulfills all obligations to the local diocese and Archdiocese for the Military Services.

General Responsibilities


· Maintain a healthy relationship with God

· Establish reasonable office hours and strive to be available to others

· Lead your ministry areas to consistent and healthy growth by setting objectives that support the vision of the church


 


Specific Responsibilities


· Pastoral Role - Function as a pastor for the students and their families and participate in the pastoral care rotation


· Teaching and Preaching – Occasionally teach and preach in worship services and other settings


· Event Leadership – Provide direction and leadership for student-specific gatherings, such as worship services, leadership training and service events


· Student Sunday School – Work with Sunday School Department Directors to find and equip leaders, choose, refine and distribute literature and materials, ensure safety of student, good communication with parents, and lead groups to be consistent and healthy in Bible study, fellowship and outreach


· Student Small Groups – Coordinate with other staff and volunteers to ensure coverage and safety of all activities involving student small groups


· Background Checks – All persons who work with our students, paid or volunteer, are to have background checks done BEFORE they begin working with our students


· Work with Children’s pastor in student portion of VBS


· Coordinate transition events from elementary for rising middle schoolers


· Develop community outreach and mission experiences for students


· Create expectations that parents should serve in these ministries. Provide opportunity and visibility for all church members to serve with our students and families to fit our multi-generational goals.


· Retreats and Mission Trips – Oversee planning and activities of student retreats and mission trips


· Recreation – Direct all aspects of the church’s recreation ministry


· Budget Responsibilities – Ensure expenditures remain within set budgets and assist in developing budget plans


· Coordinate training and educational opportunities for leaders and parents, such as occasional workshops, mentoring relationships and suggested resource materials


· Ministry Spaces - Create clean, safe, up-to-date and inviting areas that make a strong positive impression with families


· Social Media – Be fully proficient in social media forums (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) as well as have a firm grasp on the latest technologies and equipment relative to social media


· Supervision – This position will report to the Senior Pastor. Should a conflict arise that cannot be resolved by this position and the Senior Pastor, this position may then approach the Personnel Committee to resolve the matter


· Other Duties As Assigned – All staff members will be asked at times to help with special events, projects or situations as they arise

Both positions are part-time. Qualified individuals for the Director position will have a management background and be proficient in and comfortable with the Catholic Religion; and will work well with the elderly.


The Director is responsible for the preparation for all daily Mass needs such as functioning as a Eucharistic Minister, as well as the pastoral care needs of the residents.
