Summary

The Patron and Member Services Representative goal is to provide excellent patron service to the patrons and members of Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. This person will handle window traffic and inbound calls from the public including general inquiries (admission prices, driving directions, hours of operation, etc) and more involved out bound calls regarding ticket orders, processing memberships, group bookings, and similar programs. As a part of the Patron and Member Services team, this position is responsible for providing exceptional patron service at all times by preparing visitors for their upcoming visit to the Center and responding to visitor inquiries. Bi-lingual Spanish/English is preferred but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ability to work a varied schedule included evenings and weekends. This is a Part Time only position that goes up to 25-29 hours a week.      

Ticket and Membership Sales  

Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and window transactions with a polite and professional demeanor while performing multiple tasks concurrently. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. Understand and accurately interface with Tessitura, the ticketing and patron management system.    

Patron Service  

Must have an outstanding patron service attitude with the ability to build long-term relationships to assist with patron retention. Answer questions and help resolve patron inquiries in accordance with policy guidelines; remain well informed of all organization programs and policies in order to provide answers to a multitude of patron questions and inquires.    

Administrative Projects  

Membership – Develop a thorough understanding of the various membership levels and benefits. Accurately complete membership letters and packets. Responsible for updates to, and the accuracy of, constituent membership records in Tessitura. Work in concert with the Development team to renew and upgrade members, as well as help identify potential new members. Work one on one with Development to resolve membership questions.    

Clerical 

Data entry, filing and stocking office with supplies and other basic clerical duties as assigned.    

Cashier  

Process cash, checks, credit card sales, vouchers, and gift certificates. Responsible for verification of beginning and ending cash funds, running daily sales reports, completing and closing daily deposit sheet. Must follow all security procedures.   

Supervisory Responsibilities  

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Remove and dispose of packaging material. 
  • Maintain pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandize in the grocery area in accordance to company policy or as assigned.  
  • Handle damages and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods. 
  • Comply fully with safety policies and procedures. 
  • Observe all safety regulations when operating equipment. 

Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and lift up to 50-80 pounds.  The employee will work in extreme temperatures in refrigerated areas up to 20 minutes at a time.
  •  A high school diploma or GED preferred but not required, with a minimum of two years experience in the supermarket industry.  
  • Must understand the importance of working as part of a team. 
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (night shift) including weekends and holidays.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cashier/Cook position at Slice Oak plays an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. We are interested in growing our team, and are in search of a professional Cashier/Cook. The right person will be passionate about cooking pizza and service, and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition, and previous experience working as a Cashier/Cook in a bustling, fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare basic components of each pizza on our menu using our proven recipes

• Cook pizza to restaurant standards and procedures.

• Assist in creating ways for delivering excellent customer service to problematic customers

• Operate register, and credit card/debit card terminals

• Operate the industrial dishwasher

• Follow sanitation policies always

• Perform opening, closing checklist

• Clean up spills or janitorial issues

• Wash cookware and other implements by hand when necessary

• Greet customers warmly

• Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products

• Report any stock issues to management and place product orders if necessary

• Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards

• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant

• Prepare basic components of each pizza on our menu using our proven recipes

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have High school diploma or GED / some college preferred

• Food Handler card is a plus!

• Restaurant experiences is a plus!

• Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment

• Knowledge of food service regulations an asset

• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, early mornings and weekends

• Able to stay on your feet for an extended period and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

• Elevated level of professionalism

• Excellent verbal communication and organization skills Positive, helpful attitude toward customers,

including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately

Two available shifts. Note; we are flexible with scheduling.

shift (1) mid-day M-Sat 10:00am-4pm

shift (2) late night Thur, Fri, and Sat 10pm-4am
