Kaleidoscope is open from 6 a.m. - 9 weekdays, 10 p.m weekends. We are looking for closers or openers. 20-ish hrs/wk. Must be available to work weekends.

After training, you will be expected to properly pour/craft coffee drinks, serve ice cream and prep food and sandwiches. 


  • Must drink coffee - tasting for quality is part of daily duties.
  • Are you - passionate, driven, curious, clean?
  • Do you like people?
  • Do you have - attention to detail, positive demeanor, and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment?
  • Can you - be on your feet for multiple hours, maintain a clean work environment both behind the bar and in the public areas, keep your cool in potentially stressful/confrontational situations, communicate clearly and efficiently with customers and coworkers?

We serve beer and wine - must be 18 to work here; must be 21 to pour wine.

The Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP) creates effective volunteering programs in nonprofits providing direct service to low-income families, the homeless, or environmental restoration and conservancy, so that those organizations can better meet community needs. Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership will be placing each selected VIP Fellow inside a Bay Area nonprofit agency to increase the number of skilled and one-time volunteers, providing needed services to nonprofits and other community-based organizations. VIP Fellows will build capacity within the partnering nonprofit's volunteer program by providing the support, skills, and resources volunteers need to be successful.Term of service: January/February, 2018 - July/ August 31, 2018


  • Recruit, train, and lead new volunteers, particularly specialized/skilled volunteers
  • Develop and implement a volunteer program and community service projects for the nonprofit
  • Coordinate community outreach strategies for volunteer recruitment that involves social media outreach, creating and distributing marketing and communication materials, etc.
  • Build business partnerships that provide support for the nonprofit, including fundraising
  • Track volunteer program and infrastructure development at the nonprofit, utilizing a defined AmeriCorps Member Work Plan
  • Serve side-by-side with volunteers to provide guidance, to better understand the clients’ needs, and to improve the volunteer experience
  • Participate in all program-required trainings and development opportunities, including orientation, regular meetings with your local VIP team, and in-person and online trainings

Then we'd love for you to join our Pack and become a dog walker/trainer extraordinaire! 

Top Dog SF is looking for a Pack Leader to transport and supervise our client dogs at our private dog park in Pacifica. We require someone with LOTS of energy, who is not afraid to drive the nutty streets of San Francisco SAFELY, and whose positive attitude can turn challenges into victories. 

This position involves picking up and dropping off dogs in the city of San Francisco and transporting them safely in one of our company vans to our private dog park to run, play and socialize with other dog pals.   

The hours are Mon - Fri on an 8am - 3pm shift, or 9am - 4pm shift. You must be available at least 3 or more days a week and be able to commit to a minimum of one year with us and the pups. 

Top Dog SF dog walkers are held to a very high standard of excellence. Our goal is to ensure the safety, happiness and general well-being of each dog in our care, each and every day we have them. To that end, Top Dog SF only hires the most qualified candidates -- while previous professional dog care experience is not mandatory, it is strongly preferred. 

Candidates without previous professional dog care experience will be considered and hired only if they demonstrate strong aptitude and potential to become qualified professionals under strict training and practice guidelines.

BENEFITS and WAGES: Competitive wage and paid professional training. After 2 week paid trial period, hourly wages start at $17.00. Depending on performance, wage can increase to $20.00/hour after successful completion of training and introductory period. Extra income possible with overnight care after successful completion of introduction period and completion of our dog walker certification program. PTO, (vacation/holiday/sick pay) and health insurance benefits, with a possibility of raise after 4 months.

We are looking for the following:
Amazing and experienced FOH staff. Qualities desired:

  • 1-2 years in a restaurant or food service setting.
  • A genuinely welcoming and enthusiastic demeanor 
  • Cash handling. Square POS experience helpful.
  • Ability to take initiative and always seek ways to better our patron’s experience or improvements to the shop.
  • Able to take direction and work in a slow or fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility for cross training and possibly working other shifts such as packing, or mid-shift cleaning shifts.
  • Open availability to part or full-time.
  • Reliability and punctuality in the morning hours is very important!
  • Attention to detail and food service standards (must have or obtain servsafe food handlers card)

  • Resolving issues or errors and not passing the buck.

Wholesale Packers. Qualities Desired:

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job (lifting  50 pounds, bending, stooping, and twisting)
  • Able to attentively and accurately follow the packing spreadsheet, and report any issues.
  • Must be willing to scrub and mop the packing area and clean donut grates and racks.
  • Report, monitor, and track packing supplies and outgoing/incoming boxes from our wholesale accounts.
  • Self-starter and reliable to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Good for those looking for part-time work and enjoy getting an early start, and wrapping up with work by 1-2pm.
  • You may also ask to help out FOH with cleaning dishes or service, so some knowledge of the restaurant/kitchen realm is helpful. We are big on cross training.

Team Leads/Supervisors/Assistant Manager. Qualities Desired:

  • Strong leadership skills, reliability, and experience delegating a team are a must. At least 2 years experience in a leadership role.
  • A true passion to learn all the operations of the shop and product knowledge, which you can pass on to staff and guests.
  • Maturity, those who can set an example, offer praise when it’s due, offer support and coaching, and carry out disciplinary action if needed.
  • Must be extremely resourceful and communicative with owner, operations coordinator, or fellow leadership team members.
  • In general, excellent communication skills are a must with all staff, management, and patrons.
  • Computer savvy, able to use Excel, Google Docs, email correspondence, and flexibility using a Mac (or your own reliable laptop/PC) to create schedules, documents, and edit production schedules.
  • Maintaining company standards and ensuring the work environment is clean, people are on task and being respectful.
  • Reporting and taking accurate inventory.
  • Holding themselves accountable and always striving to improve their own skills, store operations, and staff development.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and go the extra mile or strategize better systems in an ongoing fashion.
  • Time management and punctuality are an absolute must, along with stellar service skills with the public.
