We are seeking enthusiastic Valet parking Associates to provide aggressive hospitality to guests at prestigious location.


The ideal candidate has at least one year of customer service experience, exceptional communication skills, and enjoys working outdoors. We are looking for positive, upbeat individuals who can deliver Aggressive Hospitality.



  • Acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds and provide professional, fast, fun and friendly service.

  • Park and retrieves vehicles.

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests and co-workers.

  • Practice AVPS Basics.

  • Immediately secure all keys.

  • Willing to adhere to all AVPS Parking uniform and appearance standards.

  • Ensure all guest's valet experience are memorable and unique.

  • Run fast to retrieve cars Drive slow when presenting cars.

  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and frequently exposed to care exhaust fumes.


Upholds cleanliness of all work stations and areas. Reports any Safety/Security related incident or potential incident to Supervisor/Designee and Public Safety Dispatch. Assists in directing and maintaining the proper flow of traffic. Directs self-parking Guests to appropriate parking spaces. Offers and provides assistance transporting luggage, strollers, wheelchairs, walkers, and other baggage to and from vehicles and carts.

  • Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.


Must be able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, of various makes and models.


Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.


Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S. must be able to communicate proficiently in English. • Physical Demands: Must be physically able to perform all job requirements. Required to lift 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistance. Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eye wear, weather gear, etc. Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, steam or chemicals.

Summary


As a Valet Driver, you are responsible for providing a personal vehicle parking and retrieval service for guests while offering excellent customer service. Stand in front of the location, obtain keys from drivers, help with any items or luggage and then drive the car to a parking lot, or parking space near the establishment. When the car owner is ready for the vehicle to be returned, valets run to retrieve the car and help them get in their car.

Position Type and Expected Hour of Work


This is a non-exempt, part-time position. Days and hours of work are Saturdays and varying shifts based on availability.


Compensation


$11.00/hour base pay plus tips


Travel


Some travel may be required (up to 100 mile radius from Sacramento)


Required Education and Experience

Physical Requirements


· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended period of time.


· Must be able to run up to 5 miles in a shift (3-6 hours typically)


· The person in this positions needs to often move about the parking entrance and parking garage of assigned location.


· The person in this position frequently communicates with parking guests who may inquire about parking and visitor information. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


· Must be able to detect incoming traffic and assess parking flows.


· Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.


· Employees will be required to wear a uniform and follow appropriate grooming standards.


· Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.


· Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.


· The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.


· Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Valet


In accordance with direction from the Supervisor and Building Manager, all Valets shall perform the following duties:


1. Park cars in designated Valet areas for Unit Owners that desire to utilize this service, as well as for all guests, especially from Memorial Day through Labor Day when Valet parking is mandatory for visitors.


2. After parking a car, distribute ticket stub with the spot number on it to the car’s owner for later pick up.


3. When Unit Owners or guests present ticket stub, retrieve car for them.


4. Unit Owners may also call Valet ahead of time, and Valets will retrieve their cars before they come to the lobby so that car is ready and waiting for the Unit Owner when he or she arrives.


5. Open doors and help drivers and passengers in and out of cars, both when they arrive for valet parking and when they retrieve their cars from valet parking.


6. When Unit Owners arrive with groceries or other packages, unload car for them and bring items up to their units on carts or dollies.


7. Monitor cars that are temporarily parked in front of the building; make sure these cars do not exceed the 30-minute limit for Unit Owners or 20-minute limit for all others.


8. Night Valets: patrol the parking lot and garage every hour, logging each patrol in with the Security Desk.


9. Occasionally fill in at the Security Desk when needed.


10. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor, or General Manager as they arise.

3.        Park guest car in appropriate space, ensure safe and appropriate operation of guest vehicles.


4.        Inspect vehicle for preexisting damage record information using electronic device or manual ticket; correctly record the make, model and exact location of each vehicle.


5.        Quickly retrieve vehicles for waiting guests; assist guests with loading luggage or personal items when necessary.


6.        Provide excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, & give directions


7.        Direct traffic, position barricades, and arrange for towing service when necessary.


8.        Immediately report any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.


9.        Request and collect relevant fees for use of service.


10.     Assist in reconciling end of shift revenue against the ticket distribution, when necessary.


11.     Communicate professionally at all times with guests, client, and teammates.


12.     Provide supervision and support to other Valet staff that need assistance; address escalated issues from guests.


13.     Support Operations Manager by assisting with administrative tasks or department scheduling; step in to address concerns raised by other Valet staff or guests when Operations Manager is away.
