  • Input information into our computer system to keep accurate records

  • Prepare the patient for the orthodontist by taking x-rays and iTero scans, performing preliminary examinations and collecting diagnostic data

The orthodontic assistant must possess excellent clinical skills. S/he supports patients' clinical and emotional needs by ensuring that patients want the treatment that they need. S/he coordinates with the front office team to ensure seamless delivery and accountability for scheduling and follow through on financial arrangements.

    • Treatment Coordinator - The orthodontic treatment coordinator (OTC) assists the doctor during the new patient exam in gathering information, and clearly explaining treatment options and related costs to the patient. S/he is the liaison between the doctor and the patient and assists in on-boarding the patient into the practice. S/he is also responsible for follow-up with patients until they have accepted treatment. S/he is knowledgeable about the treatment, the timelines, and is prepared to negotiate financial arrangements with the clients. S/he also coordinates with other offices who share in the care of our patients, making sure referrals and correspondence are received and properly followed up. The OTC may also be responsible for some internal accounting duties that support the practice's goals for profitability.

    As a Orthodontic Assistant, you will be responsible for executing all clinical functions in accordance with the Doctors’ instructions and with consideration of the patients’ concerns and comfort. You will be working in a fast paced team oriented environment, flexibility and attention to detail are a must! We have two offices. Applicant must be willing to travel to Round Rock, TX and Lakeway, TX.


    Duties:



    • Greeting and seating patients

    • Take all x-rays and oral photos

    • Perform all Alginate and PVS impressions for study models, appliances or IB trays

    • Fitting and placement of various attachments and appliances

    • Educate patients and parents about braces and appliances

    • Check oral hygiene and educate if needed

    • Removal of braces

    • In-service training for new techniques, products and procedures

    • Miscellaneous projects as defined by management


    Requirements:



    • Computer literate

    • Excellent manual dexterity

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills

    • Detail oriented

    • Ability to multi-task

    • Ethical and responsible team player

    • Reliability and punctuality

    • Flexibility in work days and hours
