How will you make an impact?
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager manages and directs technical and sustaining engineering support to all aspects of operations. They will lead process improvement initiative through the discipline use of measurements, accountability, analysis, and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at best practice.
This individual is a leader of company operations, policies, and procedures to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The Manager oversees projects that require deep understanding of organizational goals and manufacturing processes. They ensure budget, schedule, and performance requirements are met. Errors in judgment or failure to accomplish goals will crucially impact short-term objectives of company, and may endanger company activities.
What will you do?
Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture, and analysis; infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures.
Oversees the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs and maintain/improve systems for data outputs and oversee complex data analysis.
Oversees engineers conducting investigations, troubleshooting of process and equipment failures, process improvement, and recommendations to MRB.
Ensures accurate recording, analyzing and reporting of experimental data.
Supports cross category process initiatives.
Keeps all appropriate parties abreast of developments in area of expertise, and delivers recommendations for new techniques and ways of working.
Leads and works effectively with cross functional teams.
How will you get here?
Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Life Science with 10+ years of related Engineering/Science experience
Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
Medical device / ISO environment experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrated competence and experience on process problem solving and manufacturing in a GMP environment with ability to work in a global environment.
Demonstrated competence in data analysis, statistics, and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate (verbal and in writing) complex information and data.
Position requires occasional work in a lab environment, which requires ability to wear clean room PPE as required.
Position requires travel 10-15% of the time.
