Restorative Nursing Assistant

Requirements include:

As a Restorative Nursing Assistant you will provide restorative and rehabilitative treatments to assigned residents in our skilled nursing facility under the direction of the ADON and / or Physical Therapist. When needed, assists with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, dining / tray services, escort services, performing vital signs and weights and other care related duties as assigned. As part of the care team, you will participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities and notification of resident changes of condition as they occur.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess current state certification and experience, as required. Current certification from a Restorative Nursing Assistant Certification Program is required. Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid certifications are required or must be willing and able to become CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. Prior experience working with geriatric clients is preferred. Restorative experience is preferred. Food handlers certification, where required. Basic computer skills and/or willingness to learn. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.

Required Licenses/Certification: ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by AHA. Other advanced life support certification may be required per unit/department specialty.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
    The new provider will work as a close partner to the physician-owner, including prepping for surgeries (instruments/tissues) and making phone calls to patients post-operation (minimal).


    Services of the practice include, but are not limited to:


    - biologic surgery
    - robotic surgery
    - amniotic injection therapy
    - stem cell therapy
    - sports medicine
    - physical therapy


    The practice offers on-site:


    - digital x-ray
    - MRI
    - rehab department
    - and more


    Patient volume on clinic days is 16 to 20 visits, typically 50% new patients and 50% follow-up visits.  


    Patient volume on surgical days is 3 to 4 cases per day.  All work is supported by dedicated clinical assistants.


    The practice uses the Athena EHR.


    This position does require on-call, but it is minimal.  The new provider will be the first contact, but this service is offered only for post-operative patients and call volume is extremely low.
