We are a family owned and operated mid-sized food manufacturing facility in Santa Clara California looking for a Quality Control Technician.

Position will involve assisting the Quality Manager with day to day activities relating to food safety and quality, record tracking including but not limited to inspection verifications, and ensuring GMP compliance. The QC Technician will perform QC checks, assist with documentation, and support compliance needs.

Responsibilities include (Other duties may be assigned):

· Responsible for verification of monitoring of Preventative Controls and CCPs.

· Responsible for monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process

· Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.

· Works with the QA team to collect environmental samples.

· Responsible for monitoring the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.

· Ensures employees are following all Food Safety, GMP, and worker safety practices.

· Participates in educating employees on food safety and SQF standards.

· Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed.

· Perform inspections and participate in internal audits.

This position will be in the production area a good portion of the production day, ensuring that production crew adhere to the GMP’s, SOP’s, set procedures and newly adapted changes as needed for production quality control. Will also ensure that the implementation of corrective action by the production associates is done correctly.

Qualifications and Experience

· Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree in food science, biology or relevant science a plus

· HACCP certification and experience (required)

· PCQI certification or experience (preferred)

· Computer skills: MS Office (required)

· Quality Control: at least 1 year (required)

· Experience with inspection of food safety systems, meticulous attention to detail

· Experience with data recording and tracking

Qualifications:


Significant experience interpreting specifications, preferably relating to mobile labs and broadcast vehicles and converting the data into an engineering package for the production shop is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is required. A strong mechanical aptitude is required. BS degree in engineering is preferred. Experience in a production environment is required.


 


Primary Duties:


Document the customization of mobile vehicle projects from start to finish based upon job specifications, the sales quotation, and the sales order. Document electrical and mechanical diagrams using AutoCAD. Assist in project bills of materials using EVO. Manage individual projects to insure they are on track. Assist other engineers in technical aspects of projects.


Additional duties include (but are not limited to) the following:


• Communicate and interact with the production shop Manager and Team and other departments as required to complete a project accurately and efficiently.


• Interface with Sales department to ensure details of project are clarified. Assist Sales department with drawing quotations.


• Follow documented procedures for the engineering department. Provide feedback to Senior Project Engineer if procedural changes become necessary.


• Maintain, create, and improve engineering standards as necessary.


• Prepare engineering submittal packages to get customer approval of projects before production begins.


• Inspect completed vehicles to make sure the finished bill of materials matches the final product. Perform Quality Assurance Checks, throughout the Production Process to ensure that work matches design.


• Inspect large customer or E-N-G supplied materials to ensure that they meet requirements and/or order details.


• Assist with purchasing materials as necessary.


• Prepare quick reference and operating manuals as needed.


• Sustain a safe, clean and well-organized working environment and proper documentation processing and archiving.


• Work with customers either in person, over the phone or via e-mail to handle any changes and/or questions.


Experienced Drafters (without and engineering degree) are welcome to apply, but an Electrical Engineer is preferred.

Responsibilities:


Strategy and Planning



  • Review existing testing infrastructure, create, document, and develop test strategies and plans that are in line with industry and company standards

  • Design, develop, implement, manage and improve test automation frameworks

  • Help build and create the E2E testing framework for testing of our web and mobile application

  • Influence quality throughout the entire application life cycle, applying test discipline and engineering best practices (Agile, CI/CD, Continuous testing, automation, cloud, mobile) to not only improve quality, but to drive towards building quality into the development process, through collaboration with engineering teams.

Feature Development & Bug Management:



  • This role will require hands-on testing of Android and iOS devices

  • Responsible for driving all aspects of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and accessibility, while continuously considering opportunities to enhance and shorten testing processes, including test automation and application of smoke testing

  • Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issues

  • Participate in all phases of development to advocate for the guest and influence the testing strategy

  • Work with the engineering team to define development workflows and definition-of-done to improve testing efficiencies

Introduction


Robots Mobile Engineering is looking for an exceptional iOS developer to join our team. You'll be a key contributor to iRobot's talented and exciting Digital products program. You'll get to work on inventive software products that provide our customers with rich and convenient ways to interact with our family of consumer robots.

The ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the effective interplay on multi-disciplinary teams to deliver new product capabilities. You'll work closely with our product and design teams to bring the best user experience to our mobile app. You'll collaborate with IoT connectivity, cloud, data analytics, as well as robotics, contributing to next-generation iRobot products and Digital features.   • Be a contributor among the incredible group of engineers behind the top-rated iRobot Home mobile app, used by millions of people worldwide

  • Contribute to code base comprised of common C++ core with native iOS and Android UI

  • Write high quality code that is well documented, maintainable, and unit tested

  • Collaborate with other engineers; participate in and drive code reviews



Require Qualifications:



  • At least 4 years in development of native iOS commercial applications

  • Track record of performing at a high level, delivering robust solutions on schedule

  • Exceptional coding skills in C++ and at least one of Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift

  • Communication skills in verbal and written English

  • Experience in debugging code bases with multiple source languages

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.



Desired Qualifications



  • Graduate technical degree in related field

  • Previous development of networked mobile applications, with complex communications

  • Helped to drive quality improvement through test-driven development practices

  • Knowledge of challenges building common mobile app features for multiple platforms

  • Industry experience in consumer electronics, mobile devices, or robotics.

The Mobile Systems Manager will lead a team of fluid power/mechanical and electrical designers in the design, application, quoting and supporting of electro-hydraulic systems for mobile machinery OEMs including pumps, hydraulic manifolds, hydraulic hose assemblies, filtration, reservoirs and control systems.. Key Responsibilities: Engineering Leadership Technical leadership in mobile electro-hydraulic system design. Review, advise, and approve circuit and system design for projects. Coordinate of the integration of hydraulic and electric systems within project teams. Coordinate engineering activities for Price Engineering Products including the Cyclone Reservoir. Work with the system designers with their weekly priorities. Manage entire team allocation and reporting of time for project design and support. Work with entire team on hydraulic/electric system cost estimating and final statement of work processes. Develop system requirements and statement of work for new mobile systems. Develop standard labor costs for assembly activities with manufacturing. Develop standard suppliers, components, and costing with purchasing. Support Application review efforts and risk evaluation of key projects. Lead efforts for continuous improvements to the designs of standard mobile system products. Engineering Best Practice:Working with other engineering groups within the organization to help drive the following: Drive engineering standards prints, datasheets, and statement of work. Engineering tools Hydraw, MDtools, PDMetc Documentation / File Storage Locations Document naming conventions Communication Present clear directives to team members Encourage the team members to share information. Emphasize the importance of each team member's contribution and demonstrate how all of their jobs operate together to move the entire team closer to its goal.
