 Our company designs and fabricates architectural metal for a variety of jobs. We are looking for an experienced and motivated person to begin work immediately here at Phoenix Metal Designs.


We are looking to hire a talented assistant to our project manager with a minimum of 2-years experience in estimating-related fields. We are looking for a career-oriented individual interested in starting at an entry level and growing with the company.


This position will work closely with the project manager in order to assist them through their daily tasks. In addition to working closely with the manager, this is a position we intend for you to learn and grow in. Upward mobility is extremely likely given that you meet and exceed expectations.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:



  • Prepare and submit purchase orders for project materials, shop supplies, etc.


  • Read, understand, and incorporate bid instructions/drawings/blueprints and detailed specifications into estimates.


  • Prepare time, material, and labor estimates based on drawings.


  • Prepare an accurate “take-off” of materials included in the jobs; estimating all necessary labor, materials equipment and delivery costs.


  • Submit take-offs to and communicate with vendors regularly to receive quotes in order to assist in constructing thorough estimates.


  • Structure written quotes in a systematic way as required by bid documents.


  • Assist in the submittal process for multiple projects at a time.



Skills needed are:



  • Critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, analytical thinking.


  • Ability to communicate professionally using both verbal and written communications to project management, purchasing, drafting and design, along with all of the other units included as part of the project team.


  • Attention to detail, complex problem solving, time-management.


  • Demonstrate an ability to excel under pressure to meet budget and project deadlines.


  • Must be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


  • Experience in reading ARCHITECTURAL drawings



 


Note: Day to day projects may vary widely: flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly are required.


Regular job hours are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.

We are looking to hire a talented bookkeeper/office administrator. We are looking for a career-oriented individual interested in growing with the company.


This position will work closely with management as you will be responsible for knowing how much cash is on hand, along with any other related cash flow affairs, in order to assist them in making spending and purchasing decisions.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:



  • Manage phone calls and daily correspondence (e-mail, mail, etc).


  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary.


  • Daily and monthly reconciliation of bank register.


  • Billing and invoicing customers for completed work.


  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.


  • Prepare statements of receivables and payables to project future cash flow.


  •  Maintain and file accounting, insurance, and other office-related records.


  • Communicate regularly with vendors to receive extensions/draw up payment plans.


  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.


  • Manage payroll processing using Quickbooks Online.


  • Set up prevailing wage pay rates and prepare weekly certified payroll reports.


  • Ensure that all relevant insurance policies are active and up to date.



Skills needed are:



  • Proficiency in data-entry and entry-leveling accounting abilities.


  • Ability to communicate professionally using both verbal and written communications to all necessary parties.


  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.


  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.


  • Demonstrate an ability to excel under pressure.


  • Must be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.



Desired (but not required) skills are:



  • Experience in bookkeeping for a construction or related organization.


  • Experience in managing an office for a construction or related organization.

Creative Metal Works has been in business for over 30 years. We are hiring an experienced CAD Drafter/Designer to help with a large demand for our services. If you're dedicated and ambitious, Creative Metal Works is an excellent place to grow your career!


Creative Metal Works designs, fabricates and installs quality maintenance-free architectural metal products in our Colorado Springs shop. We design and build iron & steel railings, gates, spiral stairs, steel stairways and just about anything that is an architectural metal product.


This position will be part-time to full-time depending on experience and your preferences. If you have basic CAD skills, this position will most likely be 15-30 hours a week. If you are adept at reading a tape measure, have a basic understanding of construction and can measure jobs and then create the design and shop drawings, this will be a full time, 40 hour a week position. We are looking for the best fit with our company and people and are therefore flexible with skills, hours and schedule. If you are fluent in CAD but not AutoCAD, let's talk. We are willing to train the right person.


We pay 7 holidays per year, sick & vacation pay starts at 90 days

  • Use AutoCAD software to create detailed 2D shop and presentation drawings for simple as well as complex projects. We actually use DraftSight which is almost identical to AutoCAD

  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate design, details, timelines and solve problems

  • Make revisions to designs as requested


Requirements:



  • 1+ years experience using CAD software

  • AutoCAD or DraftSight experience preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of basic math

  • Ability to think spatially & envision mirrored, flipped and rotated images and structures

  • Consistently meet deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS:


Ø Experienced architectural detailing & industrial design experts only... NO EXCEPTIONS. Highly detail orientated, organized, and able to work independently as well as with teams.


Ø Advanced CAD skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.


Ø Advanced architecture and/or structural, industrial, or mechanical engineering degree is a plus but not mandatory.


Ø Experience working with architects, designers, builders, sub-contractors, vendors, etc. to execute component production according to plan.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Operate a TiG welding machine to join metal together based on provided print. Fit, tack, and weld metal which include various sizes and shapes from either the press brake or laser cutter. Welding includes components with both square and curved surfaces. Perform measurements/inspection to ensure conformance to work orders and drawing specifications. Clock in and out of work order travelers using the VISUAL bar code system. Track stock of supplies and raw materials to ensure adequate level of inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL:


· Prior experience TiG welding thin gauge stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum a must.


· Experience reading prints and welding symbols a must


· Able to use and read various measuring devices such as calipers and protractors


· High-energy individual who is able to stand, bend, lift, and/or walk for 2+ hours at a time


· Mechanically inclined with an eye for detail


· Knowledge of the different types of metal used at STRONGARM (stainless steel, CRS, and aluminum)


· Knowledge of sheet metal gauges
