EnCorps provides an innovative component, complementing the established credentialing process required for all California teachers; and preparing you to excel in your new career as a teacher. As an EnCorps Fellow, you will receive support from EnCorps staff as well as a cohort of your peers, as you navigate through the credentialing process and work your way towards becoming a teacher.

How the Fellowship works:

  • Fellows earn their credential from a university partner over the course of 4-14 months 

  • EnCorps will place you in a local partner school for 1 semester where you will spend 2-5 hours per week as a volunteer Guest Teacher 

  • Fellows train online/on-demand and at 3 in-person cohort events each year by participating in enhanced skills preparation workshops

  • Fellows receive extensive support and mentoring from the EnCorps staff, their cohort, and EnCorps’ network of schools

  • With the help of EnCorps, you will develop your unique timeline to become a credentialed, paid teacher, in as little as 9 months, or 3 years depending on your personal goals.

· Compliance regarding all safety-related matters in multiple manufacturing facilities

· Working with Safety Coordinator at each location to ensure completion of monthly safety self-inspections of facility per OSHA requirement and MSDS safety compliance, completing checklists on time and logging as appropriate

· Working with Safety Coordinator at each location to ensure all safety equipment is checked per manufacturer's instructions and as outlined in the safety programs (i.e. eyewashes checked weekly, fire extinguishers checked monthly, etc.)

· Ensuring that each Safety Coordinator keeps records of all regular scheduled maintenance to safety equipment conducted by third party vendors. (i.e. forklift quarterly inspections, fire pump annual inspections, etc.)

· Ensuring that all aspects of the safety program are being properly executed at each location and leads the efforts to fix deficiencies

· Leading quarterly Safety Committee meetings to discuss status of safety in all facilities to include existing conditions, concerns and ideas to prevent future accidents and incidents

· Working with Safety Coordinators at each facility to gather data and prepare monthly dashboard reports

· Summarizing and communicating all safety concerns, including accidents, incidents, near-misses, or physical hazards to management and lead the efforts in getting all outstanding issues resolved in a timely manner

· Ensuring all employee annual and continuing safety training including new hire safety training is conducted at each facility and for all remote employees

· Updating and maintaining all safety programs as needed, communicating changes to the Safety Coordinator in each facility and ensuring that new programs are implemented

· Assisting with workers compensation claims to analyze claims and look for ways to prevent future incidents

· Handling OSHA recordkeeping and ensure OSHA logs are kept up to date

· Coordinating health and wellness programs and communications to promote company-wide initiatives

· Creating and updating job descriptions

· Assisting with new hire onboarding and training

· Assisting with research related to employment laws and human resource best practices



  • Handle other special projects and requests, as needed

PLANT MANAGER - Seafood Processing/Canning - Relocate to Vidalia, GA
Our Client is looking for a Plant Manager with a Passion for Safety, with 5+ years of experience in Food Processing/Mfg and/or Food Contact Packaging, and with 1+ years of experience with Seafood Retort/Canning process. To start this role will have responsibility for Operations, Maintenance and Engineering. The successful candidate will have strong, collaborative Leadership skills with the ability to calmly lead and hold people accountable.   • 5+ years of Food Manufacturing/Processing &/or Food Contact Packaging experience

  • 1+ year of Seafood exp. with Retort Process or Thermal Processing

  • 10+ years of Manufacturing experience, including overseeing Maintenance and Engineering

  • 5+ years of Production Management experience with a workforce of 125+ EEs

  • 3+ years of Lean Manufacturing experience with Root Cause Problem Solving, ability to facilitate root cause, ability to focus on process and visual factory experience.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt a huge plus

  • Knowledge of HACCP

  • Strong Collaborative Leadership Skills including:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Include: Overall Responsibility for Operations, Engineering and Maintenance for plant with about 180 employees. Safety is #1 and:

  • Ensure Safe working environment and Safety of Team and others in the plant, and follow all Policies and Procedures including for LOTO.

  • Perform Safety inspection daily while always looking for preventable hazards. Follow up on unsafe conditions identified during inspection or by hazards/unsafe conditions reported by your team.

  • Discuss action plans with GM.

  • Backup to GM

  • Address unsafe Behaviors & Conditions

  • Hold Daily Direction Setting Meetings

  • Mentor and Coach Team

  • Responsible for giving clear expectations and do goal setting with Team members. Also responsible for holding Team members accountable with consequences. Monitor performance, provide feedback, & develop action plan for improvement. Provide training.

  • Responsibility with hiring, discipline/write ups/action planning, terminations & other personnel recommendations, while communicating/working with your Supervisor and the HR Manager.

    • Keep Supervisor appraised of progress/questions.

    • JTAs, Job Descriptions, and Performance Evaluations.

  • Approve staffing recommendation and fill open positions to meet production requirements. Research cost overruns, develop and implement approved action plans to correct.

  • Achieve desired yields and meet budgeted costs.

  • Achieve compliance with SOP through monitoring and development of action plans for critical points under 85%.

  • Plan and Compliance to established schedule. Compliance with BRC procedures.

  • Daily monitoring of products and daily monitoring.

  • Identify cost saving opportunities and implement approved action plans to achieve.

  • Implement action plans and develop root cause analysis to reduce and control rework incidents and inventory,

  • Responsible for generating reports including, cost center reports., daily KPI and Scorecards, OEE, FHFP, Daily accounting inventory report, CCI, Daily QC reports, weekly BRC reports, Daily sanitation checklist.

  • Meet Company quality and sanitation standards.

  • Develop and implement action plans to correct repetitive sanitation problems

  • Perform daily self-monitoring sanitation inspections with area lead and identify and/or take corrective action.

  • Achieve variance goals for all critical supplies, raw material and finished product.

  • Verify weekly raw material reconciliation and advice any adjustment to accounting.

  • Perform weekly location compliance audits for freezer and finish goods.
