Perform the Make, Buy, and/or Bill of Material

(BOM) planning activities associated with

Manufacturing Requirements/Resource Planning

(MRP) transactions.

Job Purpose:

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities


  • Develop, Implement and Maintain Quality Welding Process Specifications along with Procedure Qualification Records.
  • Effectively train and qualify welders to the relevant WPS and maintain accurate records for complete traceability.
  • Participate in product design reviews and provide DFx recommendations as required.
  • Participate in the execution of product design and production design tasks related to welding procedures, standards and welded structures.
  • Inspection of the technical plans of welded structures, their repair, verification, according to welding specifications, as agreed with the customer.
  • Preparation, publication and documentation of welding technology instructions.
  • Take immediate action to eliminate quality discrepancies as soon as they are detected. Primary technical contact with customers that have welding requirements.
  • Helping monitoring of welding technology including welding done byvarious robotic welding systems and robots
  • Research, evaluate and present new welding technologies that can improve efficiency.
  • Increasing operational reliability, increasing the productivity / efficiency of all welding operations including robotic cells
  • Support the quotation department to provide NRE Tooling estimates along with weld, grind and straighten labor budgets on critical projects.


Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree or higher preferred in Manufacturing Quality Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
  • 0 to 1 yearengineering experience pertaining to welding and welds in sheet metal and aluminum manufacturing,
  • Successful experience in a fast paced, multitasking environment required.

This role will also need to assist with aseptic filling and buffer prep processes as well as maintain material inventory in labs. 


Summary of essential job functions:
•    Must be able to work an 8 hour shift, 5 days per week including at least 1 weekend day each week (Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat).
•    In the future, must be able to work a 10 hour shift, 4 days per week including at least 1 weekend day each week (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat).
•    Possess experience in cGMP manufacturing environment.
•    Possess experience in mammalian cell culture, thawing cells, passaging cultures, counting cells, and transfection.
•    Possess experience maintaining cell lines in small to medium scale bioreactors.
•    Responsible for scheduling day to day activities and planning monthly work load for team.
•    Responsible for day to day upstream (mammalian cell culture) manufacturing activities as well as stocking of materials, preparation of documentation, cleaning and sanitization of parts, rooms and equipment, operation of process equipment.

  • Responsible for writing and updating standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI) to support the implementation of IVDR.

  • 510(k) submission experience is strongly preferred.

  • Prepare a variety of media and stock solutions that are transferred from tank to bag or tank to tank in order to support cell culture main operations to facilitate proper cellular growth per SOP.

  • Able to follow SOP’s to perform routine cleaning activities of parts and equipment using manual cleaning methods, designated parts washers, Clean-In-Place (CIP) and COP(Clean-Out-Of-Place) systems. As well as collecting rinse water samples and performing swabs on required equipment for testing.

  • Execute proper documentation and measures to initiate changing over of parts and equipment to be released for use.

  • Performs a majority of operations in a cGMP clean room environment.

  • Practices ergonomic safety and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in all operations.

  • Documents execution of operations through the Bio Manufacturing Execution System (BioMES), batch record and equipment use logbook using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Interchanging between electronic and paper documentation procedures.

  • Reports any issues related to manufacturing performance, process and safety to the team lead or Manager in order to ensure safety and compliance with regulations and cGMPs and to facilitate continuous process improvement.

Summary/Objective
The Bilingual Manufacturing Floor Manager of the Wood Shop ensures timely and efficient production and assembly of wooden work surfaces.
