Job Description

Upscale casual dining restaurant seeks full time lead line cook, grill cook and sous chef, responsible for food production, supervising a staff of hourly associates, food inventory and ordering, conduct culinary training, managing the kitchen, experienced in food cost, portion control and labor management. Must be able to work well with others under pressure, multitask, priorities, focus and work with the owner on a daily basis.

Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year experience in a restaurant environment, familiar with high quality organic and natural foods, wine pairing and California cuisine with a global flair.

Excellent compensation for the right candidates. You must apply in person at BAREFOOT CAFE, 1900 Sir Francis Drake BLVD. Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Looking for experienced and motivated cook who can work evening shifts (3pm-9pm). Looking for someone who works well under pressure, is honest, takes initiative, a good team player, dependable, eager to learn, and has a positive attitude. Restaurant experience is preferred. Food Handler's certificate required upon hire. Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish/English. Starting wage $15-$18/hr depending on level of experience.
