IN A NUTSHELL:

We're looking for experienced event servers and cooks who can maintain the high standards of full service events, large and small, whilst working with a team. If you have experience in an events setting please inquire and let us know your availability.

Our ideal candidate has FOH or BOH experience (or even better - both), and is available to work part time, on call. Our Event and Catering staff are responsible for the food and beverage service during special events or catering functions. This may include table setting, food plating, food preparation, food station arrangement, and beverage service. Other responsibilities include banquet preparation, passing food, and formal dinner service. Our Events and Catering Staff will familiarize themselves with Wise Sons food and beverage offerings to deliver exceptional service. Wise Sons team members have the flexibility to . THE DETAILS:

Events and Catering Staff are primarily responsible for the hands on execution of events, table service duties as well as prep work and closeout tasks.


  • The ability to take direction efficiently and effectively.

  • Assist with food and table prep before the event begins.

  • Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling standards.

  • Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.

  • Anticipate the needs of the guests and responding politely to their requests

  • Communicate with catering captains as well as other servers and the Wise Sons Event Manager.

  • Have a good understanding of Wise Sons food & beverage and is able to communicate products and service related query to guests when asked.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in serving food- ensuring the area is clean and tidy. Clean up messes and spills during the event, wiping surfaces to keep the area presentable.

  • Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • The Catering Coordinator is responsible for working as a member of a cohesive operations team supporting the Director of Catering and sales team, as well as the General Manager to enable perfect event execution. This individual functions as a support to the Event Manager and Captains, as well as sometimes acting as a junior sales specialist when business levels are high. The Catering Manager maintains a positive, “win-win” attitude, always working to improve the execution and timeliness of their team.

  • Ensuring all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and fully detailed prior to event/deadlines.

  • Review event floorplans, day of supervisor packets, pack lists and rental equipment to ensure all information is current and correctly distributed.

  • Responsible for communicating SRCG procedures, standards and expectations to all event staff when on-site. They will be responsible for communicating all pertinent event information to the culinary and operations teams and for completing the day of supervisor packet for use on site.

  • Assisting in the setup and execution of events

  • Ensure that event rentals have scheduled deliveries and pickups that are convenient for specialist or venue manage

  • Maintain calendar of events through Outlook and attend all necessary event meetings and conference calls.

  • Communicate with sales, culinary and booking staff, as needed, to ensure understanding of menus and client need

  • Responsible for the collection and submission of all payments and deposits as it relates to contracted events. They are responsible for ensuring that these payments are on time and responsible for reviewing the weekly AR report and correcting any discrepancies and/or collecting any late payments.

  • Responsible for nimble trouble shooting and determining the best judgment calls when a quick decision needs to be made.

  • Managing a staff, holding them accountable for their work and disciplining as needed.

  • Follow up with photographers post event to request event photos

  • Act as first point of contact for general leads and gather as much detailed information as needed
