We have an immediate opening for an experienced Landscape Construction Estimator who will supplement the current estimating group. Our ideal candidate is an expert in estimating large scale landscape projects (1m – 6m) with advanced computer skills and the ability to problem solve complex landscape construction issues.

Job Description:


Direct and manage all aspects of bidding process for Landscape Construction projects including:



  • Represent the team in a professional, courteous manner with General Contractors, Clients, Landscape Architects, Subcontractors and suppliers

  • Review bid documents, instructions to bidders, scopes of work and drawings

  • Attend client interviews and pre-construction walkthroughs

  • Document existing jobsite conditions

  • Create accurate take offs using OST

  • Generate estimates within Microsoft Excel

  • Send RFQs, deliver and follow-up with materials suppliers

  • Make determinations on subcontractor and supplier selection based on workmanship and overall value

  • Record accurate meeting minutes, distribute and file

  • Submit accurate bids in a timely efficient manner meeting deadlines of requesting parties

  • Problem solve design issues for construction

  • Manage bid log and project change order logs

  • Oversee project close-out including: as-build drawings, warranty, and operations manuals


Job Requirements:



  • 5 years minimum experience in an Estimating or Project Management role within a Landscape organization. Experience in the commercial market is preferred

  • Advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, E-Take Off, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD experience a plus)

  • Knowledge of Landscape installation practices including: grading, planting, irrigation, masonry, concrete, carpentry, and erosion control

  • Strong research skills

  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
