Vail Creek Jewelry Designs is looking for a full-time talented Designer & Fine Jewelry "Sales Specialist" to join our team.


**Our store is located in Turlock, CA**


**All COVID safety measures are in place for both employees and customers. We take your safety and ours seriously. **


  • We all wear face shields behind sneeze guard barriers while having access to sanitizers and gloves. Every piece of jewelry is sanitized prior to and after handling. Glass and store are strenuously cleaned twice a day, and areas are cleaned with an alcohol solution after each person leaves.

Vail Creek Jewelry Designs is an independent fine jewelry gallery located in downtown Turlock. We present a curated assortment of sought-after and emerging designers, exquisite custom design work, and an extensive selection of engagement and wedding rings. We do all of this with a smart, talented team dedicated to best-in-class service that consistently delivers on our brand promise.


We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who can confidently sell and consult with our clients. The ideal candidate seeks for opportunities through networking, existing clientele and building long lasting relationships with new clientele.


Your key responsibilities will be to:



  • Enthusiastically sell all of our offerings including engagement rings, wedding bands, designer jewelry and custom design to meet sales goals

  • Build new business and nurture repeat business by building meaningful client relationships

  • Consistently deliver the exceptional customer service and the luxury experience that are a hallmark of our business (read our reviews)!

  • Maintain a consistent and effective client development system

  • Provide feedback to management that would assist in merchandise selection

  • Develop extensive product knowledge to be the client's expert in regards to the designers, their stories and the materials/methods used

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and at Christmas time.(required)

The Jewelry Designer is responsible for the design direction along with oversight of products needed to meet GLD’s goals and objectives. The Jewelry Designer will be part of a dynamic, fun, creative environment and within a company that is experiencing meteoric growth.


Must have CAD design experience (Matrix, Gem Vision, Rhino, JewelCad). Must have the ability to turn a sketch into a finished cad model ready for production. Work must be extremely detailed and due to the nature of the Business, error free.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT



  • Assist in the development of conceptual direction of new product groups.

  • Create and maintain design and development calendars, and ensure all design deadlines are met.

  • Provide technical direction and know how to meet our objectives. Create designs through rendering, technical drawings, and assembled samples as needed to meet our needs.

  • Work with our founder and factories to ensure that proper interpretation of designs are executed into actual samples.

  • Provide detailed specification information of materials as needed for our team and suppliers.

  • Bachelors Degree or Acceptable Work Experience
