Job Description

 Interior Designer Responsibilities but not limited to the following:

Work with the interior design team to develop design solutions

Research concepts and materials to support the design team on technical issues influencing concept development

Work within timely schedules to co-ordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion

Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to help streamline ongoing design projects with contractors etc

Prepare and participate in all client presentations

Interior Designer desired skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline

Relevant interior design experience

Current industry knowledge of fabrics, wallpaper, furniture systems and finishes

Current Industry knowledge of tile, flooring, cabinetry and hardware

Demonstrated understanding of basic principles of space planning

Able to develop and present design concepts

AutoCAD, 2020 design platform proficiency desired

**The Interior Designer role will be considered an Independent Contractor, commissioned based role, with workable showroom hours that are mutually agreed upon, with the Design Team and the Director of Design Services on a monthly basis**

About the position:

LOCZIdesign has an exciting opportunity to announce. We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and driven Senior Interior Designer to lead our design team in our San Francisco Studio and art gallery collective.


This role is a key component to the success of our firm. Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills are crucial to the success of this role as well as the ability to work collaborative with an interior design team.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design from an accredited US based university and have no less than five (5) years of experience leading large design projects in a professional design environment.

You must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite software and online project management software such as Asana, Bluebeam and IVY would be considered an added benefit.


  • Meet with prospective clients / win projects

  • Serve as the client liaison with regard to all aspects of the design process

  • Create conceptual designs and specify all FF&E materials

  • Collaborate with the Principal Designer to create designs that are consistent with the company’s ethos

  • Work with the design team to create client presentation materials and working plan sets for contractors and architects

  • Visit jobsites as needed

  • Manage company relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, architects and magazine / blog editors and social media influencers

  • Represent the company at trade and design events

  • Stay current on all design trends / be a trend setter

  • Some travel may be required based on project and company needs

Work Location:

  • Our studio and art gallery space is located San Francisco, CA near the San Francisco Design Center with satellite offices in Sonoma, CA and Chicago, IL.

  • CDG is searching for an Interior Designer with a focus on Specification Selections. We are looking for a key player and leader who can further develop an architectural practice in our office. Exceptional design skills, a portfolio of innovative design concepts, and an emphasis on material selections are desired. 

    What You Will Do

    • Design and plan apartment amenity interiors, clubhouse interiors and model home interiors.

    • Select finish materials, plumbing and electrical fixtures

    • Design complex interior wall treatments and built-in furniture applications

    • Maintain the project manual and specifications

    • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews

    • Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction

    • Interface with building and construction phases of the project

    Your Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Architecture or Design preferred, with a rigorous design education

    • 5+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale

    • Proficiency in Cad and Revit

    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

    • Outstanding graphic presentation skills

    • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents

    • Conceptual designer and thinker

    • Commercial and Residential experience is a +

    • Extremely detail oriented
