Inside Sales Mortgage Loan Originators (”MLOs”) work directly on corporate lead borrowers to originate residential mortgages. MLO’s are expected to manage prospect consumer follow up by calling and emailing, evaluate borrower goals and guide consumer to the right mortgage for their goals.

General Responsibilities



  • Remain current on all company policies, federal mortgage-related regulations, and state mortgage-related regulations. Perform all job duties in accordance with these policies and regulations

  • Remain current on available loan programs, their requirements, and rates.

  • Continued phone follow up with corporate generated prospective borrowers and referral contacts.

  • Fully assess, analyze and document each borrower’s needs.

  • Identify loan programs that will meet borrowers’ needs and for which borrowers qualify and advise borrowers regarding same.

  • Fully explain loan programs and requirements to the borrower to ensure that the borrower receives the best-suited loan product and superior customer service.

  • Run credit report, pre-qualify the borrower, complete the loan application, explain the loan process to the borrower, obtain the borrower’s signature on the required disclosures, and collect the appropriate, supporting documentation.

  • Evaluate and review the loan application and supporting documentation. Ensure that any required corrections are made and that missing documentation is obtained.

  • Enter the loan in the Encompass loan origination system.

  • Order appraisals.

  • Keep all involved parties informed regarding the transaction as appropriate (i.e. internal staff, attorneys, title companies, and real estate brokers)

  • If appropriate, initiate actions required for CEMA and/or subordination.

  • Work with processors, underwriters, secondary, and closing to ensure a smooth transaction.

  • Answer questions and respond to requests promptly from borrower and all other parties.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

  • Complete all continuing education and other tasks required to maintain licenses.

  • Customarily and regularly meet with borrowers and potential borrowers outside of company offices or home office.

  • Market, service and promote company loan products.

  • Prepare compliant marketing and sales materials in support of outside sales efforts.

  • Maintain and increase personal and professional networks/referral sources and expand professional sphere of influence.

  • Draft sales reports as requested.


Qualifications



  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred

  • At least 3 years of mortgage experience, preferably in a sales capacity

We have an immediate position for a  dynamic Inside Sales professional to work at a Lumber company in Los Alamitos.  This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced sales environment where relationship building and multi-tasking are key.


 


We are looking for a self-motivated individual who possess the following:
