Looking for a hard working, energetic, and a punctual employee who has a desire to work with infants 0-2yrs and children ages 3-6 years of age, that might exhibits emotional and behavioral disturbances. Job responsibilities would include helping the teacher maintain good classroom order, helping students with their work, and doing whatever the teacher feels is most needed of you at that time. Must have a desire to work with preschoolers and most importantly must be able to command the respect of the students he or she works with. Experience working with children with disturbances would be a great advantage. Sports coaching experience is a plus. This is a part-time/full-time position Monday through Friday.

We are seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.


Responsibilities:



  • Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth

  • Create a fun and safe learning environment

  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress

  • Maintain the health and safety of all students 


Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields

  • 12 ECE units including 3 in Infant and Toddler

  • Passionate about working with children

  • Ability to build rapport with children

  • Positive and patient demeanor

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We are hiring for an experienced in-home infant teacher/early interventionist to work with children from 0-36 months with developmental delays and disabilities.


The role of the infant teacher/early interventionist is to enhance each family’s ability to support their child’s overall development and learning. The interventionist focuses on the individual needs of the child and incorporates the family’s priorities and interests to determine the goals and activities necessary to assist the child in reaching his/her full potential in physical development, cognitive development, language and speech development, psychosocial development, self-help, and feeding.


Job Duties



  • Provide developmental assessments

  • Implement goals through an interactive and play-based approach within the child’s natural environment

  • Provide parents with resources and activities to enhance learning for both parent and child

  • Create initial and progress reports in a timely and accurate manner for each child to document the child's progress

  • Review and explain all reports to the family to ensure understanding of their child's current developmental abilities

  • Prepare the child and family for transition from early intervention services to potential preschool programs or other support services that the child may need

  • Maintain current industry knowledge in mandated training and education

  • Participate in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes

  • Provide developmental screening assessments and referrals for more in depth clinical assessments when appropriate, e.g, PT, OT, ST consultations


Minimum Qualifications


Early interventionists must possess a Bachelor's Degree in child development, education, or related field. Early interventionists must also have prior experience in working with young children with developmental delays and/or disabilities. Infant First Aid and CPR certification, TB clearance, and a clear background check are mandatory.


Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese preferred.


Job Type: Part-time


Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 /hour
